Could Darth Vader Return In Episode IX?

Published

on

There are rumors circulating the Star Wars fan world that the one and only Darth Vader could be making a comeback in Episode IX. This may seem impossible to most, but there are some attempts at an explanation that make the idea seem not so far out. So will Vader make a grand return? Let’s take a look!

Cloned Sith

In the past, there have been some Star Wars expanded universe projects that have used the concept of clones to construct their plots. One thought is that a clone could be created from what is left of Vader. Perhaps the dark side of the force would play some role in bringing the legendary sith lord back in a new form.

It seems that this would not be too far fetched and would surely be an interesting way to stir up the Star Wars world. It is not the only possible way Vader is making his return, however.

A Ghost?

Another thought is that perhaps Vader will return as a ghost. After all, Kylo Ren did appear to be communicating with the notorious sith in The Force Awakens as he spoke to Vader’s warped helmet.

This seems particularly likely, as it would not be the first time a Star Wars character was seen after their death in ghostly form.

Comic Suggestions

Due to recent developments in the official Darth Vader comic, there is some reason to believe that sith possess immortality. If this is true, we could definitely be seeing a Darth Vader return in Star Wars: Episode IX.

It seems more than possible that the infamous Darth Vader could return in Star Wars: Episode IXHow it might happen is still up for debate but in any case, it would certainly be a huge development in the Star Wars universe. What’s your take on the potential return of Darth Vader? Does it make Episode IX more heavily anticipated than it already is? A great deal remains to be seen but one thing is for sure: Darth Vader is a staple of the Star Wars series and if he were to return, things would certainly be shaken up!

Meanwhile, when the cameras weren’t rolling, the cast was up to plenty of off-set antics of their own. Disclaimer: after you read about what went down, it might have you rethinking everything — were those angsty expressions just good acting, or were they bringing some real-life drama into it?
