Danny Glover is continuing his illustrious career by joining Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji 2 in an unknown role.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle
The first Jumanji movie with Dwayne Johnson grossed around $1 billion, so you can be sure that Sony Pictures started working on a sequel right away. Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan are set to return for the latest in the series.

The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas December 13, 2019. The sequel will continue to be directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Kasdan is also producing the film with Matt Tolmach and Seven Bucks Production’s Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia.
Danny Glover Joins The Franchise
Danny Glover, best known as the star of Lethal Weapon with his role as Detective Roger Murtaugh, will be one of the additions to the updated franchise. Glover also counts Silverado and The Color Purple among the high-profile films that established his name in Hollywood. Last year, he appeared in The Old Man & the Gun with Robert Redford and the crime thriller Proud Mary.

New Installment’s Cast Members
The new series builds on the 1995 movie adaptation that starred Robin Williams. The original movie was itself an adaptation of a picture book by Chris Van Allsburg. In the more recent movie installments, the kids are transported into the story of a magical focal point via video game instead of a board game.
