5 Of The Weirdest Things Daniel Radcliffe Has Done Since Harry Potter

Published

on

Funny, talented and down-to-earth, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is one of the most likable stars in Hollywood. He might be best known for playing “the boy who lived” in the wizarding franchise, but he’s also famous for his self-deprecating humor and having an attraction to the “weird” side of life, whether it’s off-beat roles, or hilarious pranks and antics. Dan-Rad is definitely one of the most entertaining stars in Hollywood, on and off screen. Here are five of his craziest, surprising moments that make us love him even more.

The Life-Size Manny Doll

Radcliffe brought a life-sized Manny doll with him on the promotional trail for his 2016 movie Swiss Army Man. They used several in the film and Radcliffe thought it would be funny for one of them to join him on the promo tour. The life-sized doll version of Radcliffe went to interviews, fan conventions and even rode a roller coaster alongside the actor.

Pranking The Paparazzi

Radcliffe proved his genius in 2007 when he got back at the paparazzi with a prank that lasted five straight months. The actor was starring in a play at the time and was faced with a barrage of photographers every night when he left the theatre. One night he realized the paparazzi didn’t take photos of him when he was wearing the same outfit as the night before because they didn’t look like new shots. So for the next five months, he wore the same outfit every night and they left him alone. The perfect pap deterrent.

Mad Rap Skills

Harry Potter is a rap god, kind of. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon he dropped a perfect rendition of Blackalicious’ “Alphabet Aerobics” completely from memory. The video of the rap soon went viral and has clocked up over 60 million hits on YouTube, it’s that good. That’s not the only rap song in his repertoire either; he can also do a mean “Real Slim Shady” by Eminem.

Naked Dan

In an effort to shrug off his Harry Potter label and avoid being typecast, Daniel Radcliffe’s first role away from the wizarding world was in the play Equus, where he appeared completely naked. While many were horrified at the thought of full-frontal Potter, the actor admitted it was the best way for people to forget about his most famous role and appreciate him as an actor. It was a brave move for the star, but it paid off. He received rave reviews for his appearance.

Freaky Tongue Talents

Acting isn’t Daniel Radcliffe’s only talent, he’s also got quite a few party tricks up his sleeve to impress you. He can count to three with his tongue and proved it while appearing on The Ellen Show with Ellen DeGeneres. He can also reportedly rotate his arm 360 degrees. Are we sure he’s not using magic for this?
