Dad Slams Meghan Markle And The Royals In New Interview

Published

Since his absence from the Royal Wedding, Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle has been on the warpath against the royals, even his own daughter Meghan! The retired lighting director has slammed them all in interviews, but the latest one takes the cake. Read on to see where this father-daughter relationship went wrong…

Conspiring With The Paparazzi

When Markle first found out that his daughter was dating Prince Harry, there was one major rule: no talking to the press. However, mere days before the wedding, he admitted to working with a photographer to pose for staged photos. He also suffered a heart attack six days prior to the admission. Because of everything, Markle decided it would be best not to walk Meghan down the aisle.

A Bride Without Her Father

Regarding his absence, Markle claimed to not want to further embarrass Meghan and the Royal Family. Plus, with his health issues, he wasn’t cleared for the journey to England. Prince Charles graciously walked Meghan down the aisle instead. However, it was still a bittersweet moment for her and a field day for the press. The elder Markle soon decided he had to defend himself.

Telling It All

Almost a month after the wedding, Markle spoke with Good Morning Britain about the newlyweds and his absence from the ceremony. He claimed that Meghan cried after hearing he wouldn’t be able to attend but was understanding. Markle also spoke out his staged photographs with the paparazzi. “I realized it was a serious mistake,” he admitted. “It’s hard to take it back.” That interview didn’t involve anything too terrible, but his most recent one has Buckingham Palace completely up in arms!

Royal Family On Blast

Markle’s latest interview about Meghan and the rest of the royals wasn’t so friendly. He recently had a nine-hour interview with The Daily Mail (over the course of three days), slamming them all. Since the wedding, he claimed that Meghan completely cut him out of her life and that the royal family hasn’t treated him well at all. In fact, he even stated that Princess Diana “would have loathed” all of this. The interview has circulated all over the internet, leaving the royal family to figure out how to reign Markle in.

Buckingham Palace On Edge

Meghan and Prince Harry have, to no surprise, stayed silent about Markle and this recent interview. However, it’s been reported that aides at Buckingham Palace have held at least three crisis meetings about Markle. It seems, though, that Meghan’s father isn’t going away. “I refuse to stay quiet,” he admitted to The Daily Mail. “What riles me is Meghan’s sense of superiority. She’d be nothing without me. I made her the Duchess she is today.”
