The Bachelor has changed lives and breathed life back into true love all across the globe. True love, however, doesn’t always happen in the show’s traditional format. In the latest season of The Bachelor: Vietnam, two contestants found their happiness but it wasn’t the Bachelor and final rose recipient this time.

An Astonishing Profession On Bachelor: Vietnam

Contestant Minh Thu shocked the world when after she was eliminated by bachelor Quoc Trung, she professed her love for fellow contestant, Truc Nhu. Minh Thu went to her knees and begged Truc Nhu to leave with her. This in itself was a beautiful moment, which became even sweeter when Truc gave her rose back to Quoc, telling him “I know you’ll find someone who really loves you.”

They left the show together, but in the next episode, Nhu had reappeared. Thu reportedly urged Nhu to stay and explore her feelings for Trung, who still wanted her on the show.

True Love Is Still Alive In Vietnam

Though Truc Nhu went back on the show, she didn’t last long. After being eliminated she immediately went back to Minh Thu. In a recent NextShark interview with producer Anh Tran, it was confirmed that the women are now a couple.

Anh Tran and the other show producers proudly supported the season’s incredible twist. He told NextShark, “They left the show and have been together since. We delivered on our promise that two people would find love.”

The Bachelor Became “Unexpected Platform” For Love Of All Kinds

Both contestants said it was difficult coming out to their families after the show, as neither had ever been in a same-sex relationship. However, both families are coming around, as they can see these two have found true happiness.

Equally Wed

This season has ignited worldwide support for inclusion and equal rights. Anh-Thu Nguyen, a producer for the show, says, “It’s been a proud experience to see our clip resonate around the world and become an unexpected platform for discussing LGBTQI+ issues in Vietnam on a global scale.”
