This Ridiculous Video Is Why Conan O’Brien Can Never Have Espresso Again

Published

on

Italians are famous for their espresso — short, but strong. Conan O’Brien, on the other hand, is famously the exact opposite – long, but weak. Bring the two together, and an explosive reaction occurs.

Conan Orders Espresso In Italy

Conan and his associate producer Jordan Schlansky have been traveling abroad and releasing videos showcasing their exploration of the rich Italian culture online. And of course, you can’t feel the Italian spirit without going into a cafe for a cup of the country’s famous espresso.

“This is a Neapolitan cappuccino 150 milliliters. It’s only 25 milliliters of coffee made from 7 grams of beans and then about 4 ounces of milk. Look at this man’s elegance, watch his movements. It’s a ballet at the machine. No movement is wasted. Everything is perfect, look at him go. It’s a dance, it’s a dancing man and a machine,” Jordan told Conan in awe. “No, it’s not. He’s making coffee,” Conan answered nonchalantly as he waited for his brew.

The Espresso Was Strong

But Conan’s skepticism was instantly erased with the first shot of the magic potion which turned him into a hyperactive cartoon character. If it was a scene from a movie, someone most definitely would have said: “I’m having whatever he’s having.” A series of shenanigans followed.

After downing the first cup like a tequila shot and doing a Michael Jackson-esque spin, Conan told Jordan: “Wow, that’s good. Not gonna have another one?” “No, I’m satisfied, I know when to stop,” Jordan answered. “And I do not,” Conan continued.

Conan In Italy

Conan and Jordan have certainly been enjoying their time in Italy together. Their Italian adventure started in Florence and ended in Naples, just a few months after Conan came back from Haiti where he did another special. True to his showmanship, Conan delivered the self-embarrassment we know and love him for.

It’s safe to say the video is something you need to see for yourself. Watch it below!
