Like many, former Bachelor star Colton Underwood has been busy self-isolating. Though he did contract coronavirus, Underwood has thankfully recovered. Since recovering, he decided to shake things up. With the help of his girlfriend Cassie Randolph, he’s stepping out as a bald man.

Bald Is Beautiful

Underwood posted a video of the ordeal on his Instagram. “I let @cassierandolph cut my hair… safe to say she won this battle and I will be wearing a hat for a while,” he stated in the video’s caption. Underwood showed off the end result, which found him completely bald up top. He still managed to have some hair on the sides and the back. Underwood concluded his Instagram post with a video of Michael Scott from “The Office,” which jokingly showcased his emotions.

As expected, fans have been loving this quality time between the couple. “Her face when you scared her is PRICELESS. glad to see you’re feeling better,” Instagram user shelby_klemmt said. Randolph had to jump in the comments with an offer. “Hahahaha. Who else wants me to cut their hair?,” she said.

Road To The Rose

Before The Bachelor, Underwood had dreams of becoming an NFL star. Following a run with the Illinois State Redbirds, he was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in May 2014. Unfortunately, this run lasted only a short while, as Underwood was waived a couple of months later. His attention turned to the Philadelphia Eagles, who signed him to their practice squad. This relationship was much shorter than his Chargers’ stint. Six days after being on their practice squad, the Eagles and Underwood went their separate ways.

Underwood would return to the Chargers days later. After signing a contract, things were looking up for the Indiana native. Unfortunately, he was placed on injured reserve by the team, which led to him leaving for the second time. In December 2015, Underwood joined the Oakland Raiders’ training camp. A torn ligament and shoulder joint injuries forced him to retire from the game in 2016.  “I had a good run. I played a kids’ game for a long time. It’s bittersweet, but I’m ready to move on,” Underwood told Journal Star.

For The World To See

Underwood joined The Bachelorette during season 14, but he already had some history with the show. Before season 14, he dated Tia Booth, who was a contestant on season 22 of The Bachelor. This was a complete shock to The Bachelorette‘s Becca Kufrin, who is friends with Booth. Things got difficult for Underwood with Booth showing up to unintentionally stir the pot. After landing in fourth place, Underwood appeared on Bachelor in Paradise, which reunited him with Booth. The pair quit the show after week four.

Underwood became the star of the 23rd season of The Bachelor. In the end, he gave the final rose to Randolph, but it wasn’t a smooth ride getting there. Before the final episode, the pair got into a heated argument, which led to Randolph walking out on Underwood. The former NFL star shocked everyone by jumping an eight-foot fence and temporarily walking away from the show. With no proposal, the couple has been simply enjoying their time together. For their first anniversary, the couple celebrated at Saint Lucia. Despite dating, they have no plans to move in with each other until they’re married. Underwood’s fence-hopping scene on The Bachelor earned him the MTV Movie & TV Award for Most Meme-able Moment.

Going Behind-The-Scenes

In March, Underwood released his memoir The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV. This book dives into some of the behind-the-scenes madness behind filming three reality shows. Many people don’t walk away from those shows with the love they were seeking. Fortunately for Underwood, he’s living his best life with his true love, despite his recent hair drama.
