Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement earlier this week was met with a mixture of excitement and more than a few rational doubts. She announced on her Instagram page that she and her superstar husband Jay-Z are expecting twins. And when the rejoicing was finally dying down, questions over whether the 35-year-old Single Ladies singer would still make an appearance at the 2017 Coachella Festival, which she is set to headline on the 17th and the 22nd of April, began to surface.

Despite the fact that Beyonce will be in her third trimester by the time the festival kicks off, the mother of one has announced, much to the delight of her fans, that she will still be going ahead with the plans to headline the festival. This, according to TMZ, was Beyonce’s announcement that she would still be making her appearance on the Coachella 2017, baby bump and all.

Sources close to the songstress have dismissed doubts that she might not attend the much awaited festival by confirming that bookings for her guests’ accommodation near the venue have already been made. Fellow Coachella headliners include popular rapper Kendrick Lamar and rock band Radiohead.

Beyonce fans were optimistic that despite the announcement of her pregnancy with twins, she would still be able to headline the festival in April. Amidst congratulatory tweets, a few fans directly posed the question to her on Twitter. While most are certain that she definitely will not be able to deliver her more vigorous displays on the stage come April, more are convinced that the singer’s mere presence at the event would be enough to keep everyone happy.

Beyonce and Jay-Z expressed their unbridled happiness following the announcement. They were both clearly excited that their family was blessed enough to be getting two new members, which is something they will be looking forward to.

As things stand right now, Beyonce is all set for the California festival in April, with TMZ divulging that her insurance company is ready to pay a fee in case of any complications which may arise as a result of her performance on stage, given that having twins is considered a high-risk pregnancy.
