Chris Pratt Gives Police Officers The Surprise Of A Lifetime

Chris Pratt is well known for surprising his fans, thoroughly enjoying himself as he brings smiles to their faces. The actor recently shocked fans and police officers in California at a special event they won’t soon forget.

An Important Cause

The Vacaville Police Department in Vacaville, California recently held a charity fundraiser to support officers whose children are battling cancer. It was a special idea to not only raise money, but to offer these families a bit of fun at the same time.

The department hosted a screening of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in which Pratt is the main star. There was also a special charity auction set up to raise funds. As the officers and their families began to settle in their seats for the event, they were stunned to see who was waiting for them around the corner!

Surprise Of A Lifetime

Pratt walked into the theater, shocking all of the attendees! Before the film started, the actor offered words of encouragement and jokes to the families. He also participated in the auction and stuck around to watch the film with everyone.

Pratt then took the time to snap some pictures with officers and other excited fans. Thrilled that Chris Pratt had graced them with his presence, it was certainly a moment that they won’t soon forget, but one that was also uniquely special to the actor himself.

An Unforgettable Connection

Chris Pratt has an older brother, Daniel “Cully” Pratt, who himself works as a deputy officer at the Solano County Sheriff’s Office. In fact, it was Deputy Pratt who was able to help get his little brother to the event to surprise all of these fans.

The actor truly enjoyed the event and was glad to contribute in any way he could. Pratt later tweeted: “Just wanna give a special shoutout to Solano County Sheriff’s Office, Vacaville Police Department, Vacaville Fire & Bruce Simpson at Brenden Theatre, additionally the two young kids I met today whose fighting spirits encourage me. You’re in my prayers.”
