We look at some interesting facts about their relationship.

Mother Knows Best

How exactly did the two meet? Well, it was through some help from Schwarzenegger’s mother Maria Shriver. “Maria is very excited for Katherine. Everyone has their fingers crossed that this is going to work out long term. They think Chris is an amazing guy and a great catch,” an unnamed source told E! News. Like any other gentleman, Pratt got permission from Maria and Arnold Schwarzenegger before proposing.

The Animal In Me

When it comes to animals, the couple has opposing sides. Schwarzenegger is one of the leading celebrity faces behind American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Pratt has been known to hunt animals on occasion. “I get a lot of, “Well as long as you eat the meat, I don’t care.” I have to be honest with them though. My passion for hunting is not simply the result of a need to feed myself. There are grocery stores for that! I’m not eating ground hog or coyote,” he told Outdoor Life.

Have A Little Faith In Me

Both Pratt and Schwarzenegger openly display their Christianity. In fact, their instant bond revolved around their faith. “He’s really impressed that she’s vocal and unashamed about her beliefs in God, because that’s how he is. He’s constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her,” an unnamed source told People.

From Wife To Minister?

Even though Pratt and Anna Faris are no longer together, there’s still love between the two. On her Unqualified podcast, Faris said that she wanted to be a major part of their wedding ceremony. “Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night,” And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing!’ I texted him back like, ‘I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister,'” she said on her show.

No Time To Waste

Pratt and Schwarzenegger started dating each other last spring. This may seem quick for some, but Pratt is no stranger in knowing what he wants immediately. In a 2009 interview with People, Pratt talked about wanting to marry Farris after meeting her. “It took a while for me to admit it, because it would be crazy to be like, ‘I want to marry you’ the first day I met her. But I could have!” he said.
