Chris Hemsworth Showed One Hitchhiker The Time Of His Life

Published

Picking up a hitchhiker can lead to one of two things. It can be a surprising meeting with a complete stranger or it can be a complete nightmare. One hitchhiker got the shock of a lifetime with his journey.

Hemsworth Down Under

Musician Scott Hildebrand enjoys playing in front of people around the world. Whether he’s rocking out in front of 500 people or 5, he’s always bringing his best. The Chicago native was traveling through Australia for a slew of performances. With no ride, he tried to hitchhike his way to the next venue.

Fortunately, Australia’s hero Chris Hemsworth was at the right place at the right time to offer a lift.

Thor To The Rescue

As expected, Hildebrand couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The musician jumped at the chance, and the two were off. Little did Hildebrand know he was going on a helicopter ride to his location. On Hemsworth’s Instagram, he posted a video of the whole ordeal. “Picked up a hitchhiker, wasn’t a serial killer which we were stoked about and just happened to be a kick a** musician Scott Hildebrand,” the actor stated.

Marvel/Disney

Hildebrand reposted the same video with the caption, “When hitchhiking leads to a helicopter ride with Thor… So grateful for this crazy experience and the opportunity to share my music with so many beautiful people.”

There’s Nothing Like Australia

Many are assuming this is part of Hemsworth’s work as an ambassador for Tourism Australia. Earlier this year, he took part of a viral Super Bowl ad promoting TA, which was masked as a new Crocodile Dundee film.

Gossip Cop

Whatever the situation, Hemsworth is proud of his home country. “I think the hardest part of a trip to Australia is leaving. Besides the sights, the people are also a draw. They are so welcoming,” he told The New York Times.
