5 Changes Potentially Coming To ‘The Walking Dead’ Next Season

Published

on

Things are always in a state of flux following a zombie apocalypse. You never know what new undead thing is going to try to kill you. Or, for that matter, which still-alive human might be angling to do the same. The same goes for fans of The Walking Dead; you never know what the creators will do next. Here are five things that might be pretty different in the upcoming season of the show.

We Need More Horse Power

One thing about the zombie apocalypse is industry comes to an abrupt halt. That includes oil drilling, oil refining, the delivery of commercial petroleum products like gasoline, and there are no more gas station attendants. Which means eventually, no more driving. Looks like a lot of the cast will be riding something with four legs going forward.

But wait, there’s more.

Rick Is Clean-Cut

We don’t know if Rick went for the clean-cut look for a change or if he wants to reduce wind resistance so that horse can run that much faster away from walkers. What we do know is he looks a million times better this way. Hopefully, this look is here to stay.

Speaking of here to stay…

Jadis Is Full-Time

Guess who’s sticking around? It’s everyone’s favorite soft-spoken de facto leader of the Scavengers, Jadis/Anne! She may have started out as an antagonist, but it looks like she’s fully-committed to Team Rick now!

In addition to the Scavengers, there might be a new group with an even more intriguing name coming up.

Shhh! It’s Quiet Time

If you listen, closely, intently, you can hear them. Whispering. Because, well, that’s what they do. They’re called the Whisperers, after all. And rumor has it this mysterious group, the members of whom drape themselves in the flesh of the dead to roam freely, are headed into town. Who knows when you’ll see them?

Who knows when anything is happening?

Back To The Future

Speaking of “who knows when,” it appears we’re going to be playing it fast and loose with timelines going forward. Remember Georgie, Hilda, and Midge? They might not show up in the comics, but they just gave everything required to build the calm, pastoral community featured in the comics following a time jump.
