An Award-Winning Change

The 2017 Oscars will go down with one of the wildest finales ever. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway revealed that La La Land won for Best Picture. As the cast walked on stage, they were informed that there was a mixup. The real winner was Moonlight, and everyone in the room was stunned at the sudden change.

I’m A Loser, Baby

Beyonce’s 2013 self-titled album was easily one of the most influential R&B albums in years. Everyone expected this album to walk away with the Grammy for Album of the Year. Unfortunately, rocker Beck shocked the world by winning for Morning Phase. Kanye West jokingly hopped on stage before sitting back down. After the Grammys, however, West stated that Beck should’ve given Beyonce the award.

What’s The Deal With Hugs?

Platinum-selling artist Ke$ha can become starstruck like everyone else. At the 2017 Night of Laughter & Song at The Kennedy Center, she spotted comedian Jerry Seinfeld. While Seinfeld was being interviewed, she tried to get a hug from him. He declined, but it wasn’t because he was being mean. “When you get to be my age and you’ve done a couple of things, you have your own reality, in my reality… I don’t hug a total stranger. I have to meet someone, say hello. I gotta start somewhere,” he told Extra.

Look What You Made Me Do

Taylor Swift is known to dominate at the Grammys. At the 2014 event, everyone expected her to take the Album of the Year award for Red. Unfortunately, Daft Punk took the title for Random Access Memories. Swift appeared shocked as she loses the top award of the night. “It was like, ‘And the album of the year goes to…Reeeeeandom Access Memories, Daft Punk! And they really dragged out the ‘reeee.’ And for a second there, I kind of thought we had it, and we didn’t,” Swift told Billboard.

Clean Your Ears Next Time

Winona Ryder’s acting career was rejuvenated with her role in Netflix’s Stranger Things. At the 2017 SAG Awards, she joined the Stranger Things cast to grab their Best Ensemble Drama award.
