Although we know them as entertainers, they are also proud fathers and mothers. These stars made their millions by entertaining us, but while we were so distracted by the silver screen light, they were nonchalantly starting their own families behind the scenes. Wait till you see how many kids some of them had – the numbers are quite absurd.
1. Eddie Murphy – 10 Kids
The moment we saw comedian actor Eddie Murphy slide into children’s films was the moment we knew he was a family man. With all the kids he was having, no longer would he be affiliated with raunchy jokes and offensive language. He first started having children back in the late 80s, when he had one with then-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, and another with his next girlfriend, Tamara Hood.
Over the next couple decades, Murphy would proceed to have another 8 kids with various women: five with his now ex-wife Nicole Mitchell; one with pop singer Mel B (of Spice Girls fame); and two with his current girlfriend, the model Paige Butcher.
2. Kevin Costner – 7 Kids
Some people loved him from Field Of Dreams and some from Waterworld – but regardless, Kevin Costner has quite a cool reputation amongst both peers and fans alike. However, what most people probably don’t know is that he’s got a total of seven children. His first three kids came with ex-wife Cindy Silva, whom he met in college.
He also had a son with a woman he met named Bridget Rooney. However, his latest long-standing lady came in the new millennium, when he married model Christine Baumgartner. He would go on to have three kids with her as well, and the pair are still happily together.
3. Mike Tyson – 7 Kids
Some of you may never have believed that the former heavyweight champion of the world is actually a proud father to an impressive sum of seven kids, whom he had with three different women. However, although Tyson’s family life has been rich with love, there has unfortunately been tragedy for him in that department as well.
In May 2009, Tyson’s four-year-old daughter passed away – casting a dark shadow over his life. However, with sadness also comes happiness – and Tyson retains a strong bond with his family throughout all the bumps and bruises. If there’s someone who knows how to take a hit, it’s this guy.
4. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie – 6 Kids
Given the fact that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, or “Brangelina,” used to be one of the most popular couples in the world, it’s no surprise that everyone wanted to know everything they could about their kids. The power couple didn’t exactly hide the fact that they were adopting children; but no one expected them to keep at it so consistently.
To be fair, they did fly to a private island just for the birth of their biological daughter Shiloh, hoping to keep things hush hush. Nevertheless, although Pitt and Jolie are no longer together, their six kids are quite famous at this point. Will one of them be a lead star one day?
5. Kris Jenner – 6 Kids
While most people likely already know about the Kardashians, that doesn’t exclude Kris Jenner from being on this list. Famous or not, six kids is quite a lot – and boy was she raising up some stars. From Kim to Kendall to Kylie, the amount of sheer popularity that exists around that family is quite mind-boggling.
Add the fact that music mogul Kanye West married into the family, and we’ve got a fully-fledged empire! It seems as though Kris Jenner was the mastermind queen all along, because all of that success can be traced back to her. Good for you, Kris – you’re doing amazing sweetie.
6. Billy Ray Cyrus – 6 Kids
Most people over the age of 30 know Billy Ray Cyrus from his music career – but the generations that follow think of Miley Cyrus. This is because Billy Ray was cast as the father on Hannah Montana, the hit Disney children’s show where his daughter, Miley, was then the lead star.
This is all old news, and as we know Miley became a lot more than just a child star. But what many people don’t know is how many siblings Miley has. Billy Ray has three children with his wife Tish (Miley’s mother), one with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey; and two that he adopted as step children from a previous relationship.
7. Chris O’Donnell – 5 Kids
When Chris O’Donnell puts on his proverbial detective face on the hit crime series NCIS: Los Angeles, we know it’s because his character knows how much he has to lose if he doesn’t succeed. In real life, it seems as though O’Donnell really isn’t acting – because he really has so much in his life.
A father of five awesome kids with his wife of 23 years Caroline Fentress, O’Donnell clearly has no intention on living the “bachelor” lifestyle. Some would even say he’s doing this whole fame and fortune thing right: raking in the dough without getting too distracted by the treacherous limelight.
8. Gordon Ramsay – 5 Kids
Can you imagine what it would be like to have Gordon Ramsay as your father? And we mean that in a totally not weird, purely food-oriented way. Seriously, it would be like eating at a five-star restaurant every night. However, it seems as though Ramsay is raising his own little battalion of mini-chefs.
While five kids isn’t necessarily that large of an amount, it’s still more than average – and we certainly didn’t know about any of them (turns out he’s pretty private). However, we hope Ramsay doesn’t give his kids too many of his secrets, because they might just overtake him!
9. Taylor Hanson – 6 Kids
It feels like almost yesterday that we were jamming out to “MMMBop,” the hit single that catapulted Taylor Hanson and his two brothers’ music careers into oblivion. But while Hanson as a group eventually faded away, Taylor was starting a family. He married a girl named Natalie in 2002, and they would go on to have six children together.
Although Hanson doesn’t perform as much as he used to, he seems to have found the perfect balance of being in the spotlight, and also spending time with his awesome family. Who knows, maybe his kids will be the ones to write the next big hit.
10. James Van Der Beek – 5 Kids
James Van Der Beek, known best for his titular role of Dawson on Dawson’s Creek, has also proven himself to be quite the family guy. Back in 2010, he got married to a business consultant named Kimberly Brook – but no one could’ve predicted that they’d have so many kids.
In the ten years since they’ve been married, the couple has had a total of five kids together. That’s pretty efficient, we’re not going to lie! All the while, Van Der Beek still acts in multiple productions, perhaps most recently in his role in the canceled-too-soon comedy series, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.
11. Mick Jagger – 8 Kids
How do Rock N’ Roll legends hang up their hat after a long half-century’s worth of performances? Well, regardless of how he did it, something about the smile on Mick Jagger’s face in this picture indicates that he finally found that satisfaction. With eight children that he’s fathered, he seems to have found a new level of peace and tranquility in his life.
Jagger had these children with five different women, but that hasn’t stopped them from becoming real close with one another. Some of his kids are finding their own success in entertainment as well — his daughter, Georgia May, as a model and his son, James, as an actor on the drama series Vinyl.
12. Shaquille O’Neal – 5 Kids
While he was breaking backboards and winning championships for the Los Angeles Lakers, NBA center Shaquille O’Neal was also serving up his best on the family side of things. He had four kids with his then-wife Shaunie Nelson; but the pair would ultimately split. He also has another daughter named Taahirah, whom he had with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh.
Shareef O’Neal, his oldest child, has shown that he may possess the capabilities of succeeding as a basketball star — although funnily enough, basketball scouts analyzed that his playing style was the complete opposite of his father’s. Regardless, Shaq seems to be running a pretty cool team.
13. Dog The Bounty Hunter – 12 Kids
Dog The Bounty Hunter, or Duane Chapman as some people know him, is famous for his television show, named Dog The Bounty Hunter, aptly enough. On this show, we follow Dog as he hunts down actual fugitives, and various other adventures. He is constantly surrounded by his family and friends, so it’s no surprise that he has a lot of children.
However, even with all that television exposure, did you know that he has 12 tykes? That’s an impressive amount of children for anyone to have. Two of them were with the late Beth Smith, his well-known wife and often co-star, who passed away in 2019 due to throat cancer.
14. Carson Daly – 4 Kids
Popular TV host Carson Daly has also proven that he’s not interested in living the bachelor life that so many others toil in. When he met food blogger Siri Pinter in 2013, that was the moment that his whole life changed. They married two years later, and by 2020 the pair had four children.
But even though Jackson, Etta, London, and Goldie, will be more or less growing up in their father’s semi-celebrity shadow, it’s clear that Daly, who’s also a Catholic, wants to provide them with a more wholesome upbringing. They really do seem to have that whole cute soccer family look going, don’t they?
15. Diddy – 6 Kids
When Diddy was slinging rhymes back in the 90s and early 2000s, hip hop was in a completely different era. He provided a new face for rap, and that’s why these days he’s considered a legend. However, what people weren’t focusing on was the family that he had been growing that whole time.
With a total of six kids, Diddy is a much bigger family man than some may have known. And his kids sure are thriving, just like their father. In fact, his son Justin just got a scholarship to play football for UCLA. On Justin’s 16th birthday, Diddy gave him a $360,000 car.
16. Arnold Schwarzenegger – 6 Kids
You need that Terminator energy to tackle all life’s challenges, whether it’s filming multiple blockbuster movies, or starting a legitimate family of which you can feel proud. It turns out that Arnold Schwarzenegger can do both, with a crew of six children that he’s raised.
Four of these children were with journalist Maria Shriver, in a relationship that was well-publicized throughout the years. One of his daughters, Katherine, was recently married to the well-known movie star Chris Pratt. It must have been slightly nerve wracking for Pratt to ask Arnold for his daughter’s hand. He could’ve easily received the response, “Talk to the hand.”
17. Jessica Simpson – 3 Kids
Although three kids isn’t really that many, can you honestly say you knew that Jessica Simpson had three kids? If you did, good on you, because we sure didn’t! After enjoying the fruits from a budding music career, and relationships with stars like Nick Lachey and Tony Romo, Simpson decided to retreat from the spotlight.
We heard about her occasionally, but she wasn’t in the news as much. In reality, she was enjoying her new life with another NFL star, former tight end Eric Johnson. The pair hit it off, and eventually got married. Today they’re still going strong, and living happily with their three kids.
18. Madonna – 6 Kids
An eccentric pop singing legend yes, and apparently a mother as well. Madonna has a total of six wonderful children (four of them adopted), whom she raved about on an Instagram post: “What I am most THANKFUL for! My Children have led me down roads and opened doors I never imagined I’d walk through.”
She continued to say that amongst all of her accomplishments, it was her children that she’s most proud of: “Fame, fortune, and records broken could never equal that which I treasure and value most.” She might have grown up living in the material world, but she’s managed to create a pretty wholesome home over the years.
19. Donnie Osmond – 5 Kids
A man who’s been in show business since he was a kid, now has some little rugrats of his own! Well, they’re not so little anymore. Given how hard it is to be a child star in the spotlight, Osmond wanted to give his kids something different: a more traditional family life.
But no one could’ve predicted that he’d go on to have as many children as he did. Donnie has five, and his sister Marie has eight, both higher than what’s common. However, when it comes to Hollywood families, they don’t exactly live with the same rules as most people, and it’s possible raising that many kids is considerably easier for them.
20. Cristiano Ronaldo – 4 Kids
If you want to know the extent of influence Cristiano Ronaldo has, not just on his fans, but on his family, listen to this: his nine-year-old son joined Instagram, and no less than 24 hours later he had over one million followers. The account has been deleted since then, but this story should shed a light on how interested people are in this soccer star’s family.
The thing is, it’s easy to forget about his “regular life” while we’re watching him expertly whip soccer balls into the goal, making highlights a regularity. But the fact of the matter is, Ronaldo has four children, and he seems to adore them more than life itself.
21. Megan Fox – 3 Kids
Megan Fox has always been forced to deal with people objectifying her or putting her in a box, but throughout it all she’s held her own. Fox first made a splash as the heroine in Michael Bay’s action film Transformers, where she starred alongside Shia LaBeouf.
But while Fox popped up here and there on various shows over the years, it was clear she was taking a step back from the limelight. In fact, she was starting a family with longtime on-again off-again husband, Brian Austin Green. Today, the pair are not together, but they do share these three children, Bodhi, Journey and Noah.
22. Rod Stewart – 8 Kids
In addition to both being musicians from the classic rock era, Rod Stewart has another thing in common with Mick Jagger — he too has eight children from five different women. The “Maggie” singer’s first child was Sarah, born in 1963, to him and his then-girlfriend Susannah Boffey.
A little over 15 years later he had another two children, Kimberly and Sean, with his first wife, Alana Stewart. He had his fourth child, Ruby, in 1987, with a woman named Kelly Emberg — but it wasn’t long before he’d have two more with another wife, Rachel Hunter. During his third marriage with Penny Lancaster-Stewart, the rocker had another two children. It might not be the conventional family, but it’s certainly pretty Rock N’ Roll.
23. Alec Baldwin – 6 Kids
Out of Alec Baldwin’s five kids, the most famous is Ireland Baldwin, a successful model who Baldwin had with fellow actress Kim Basinger. However, Baldwin has a total of five kids, with five other children coming from his marriage to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas.
Baldwin started dating Thomas back in 2011, and a year later they were married. One year after that and they had their first child. By 2020, they’ve had five children together: Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo. Baldwin also hasn’t been showing his face on TV that much lately, indicating that he’s happy to have settled into the family life.
24. Snooki – 3 Kids
The fact that Snooki has any kids at all was a huge shock to us – and good for her! Time has this remarkable ability to change our lives, and clearly much has changed with Snooki. She came into prominence on the reality show Jersey Shore, where she was a bit of a wild child.
But clearly fame wasn’t all that mattered, because she decided to step away from the small screen and become a mother. Snooki married a man named Jionni LaValle, who she later had three kids with. Here’s what she wrote about her husband and kids on Instagram, “You are the most incredible father to our children and I couldn’t be more lucky to have you. I love our family!”
25. Tori Spelling – 5 Kids
Most remember her from the popular drama Beverly Hills 90210, which had a great run in the 90s. Since then, Spelling has stepped slightly back from Hollywood, but for good reason. In 2006, Spelling got married to Dean McDermott — and the pair would go on to raise five amazing kids together.
As Spelling wrote on Instagram about her family, “Love all the people that have been on the journey with me so far. It’s been an incredible empowering and humbling ride. Can’t wait for many more adventures with the ones I love. I am so grateful for all of you.” If that doesn’t sound sincere, we don’t know what does.
UFOs And The U.S. Presidents: Alien Cover-Ups That Have Been Swept Under The Rug Of The Oval Office
Shady things have taken place in the White House for centuries, but the biggest unsolved mystery by far is the possible cover-up of extra-terrestrial life. Thousands of UFO sightings have taken place over the years, before quickly getting swept under the rug by certain U.S. presidents. However, now it’s time to put all the pieces together – from alien abductions, to experimental testing, to some shocking information that only recently saw the light of day.
The Most Overrated Rock Bands Of All Time – Ranked By How Overrated They Are
These world-renowned classic rock bands have ridden the coattails of generic universal praise for far too long. With their passionate vocals and piercing guitars, they all found their unique voice in the music industry. But just because they found their voice doesn’t mean they’re actually as good as people say they are. We apologize in advance, because your favorite band might actually be overrated too.
