5 Celebrity Couples Who Haven’t Been Spotted on the Red Carpet in Years

Published

on

Celebrity couples. We love them, we love to hate them, and most of all we love to peer into their private lives and see what it’s like to love in the limelight. However, with every celebrity’s rise to fame comes an inevitable downfall when they are replaced with the next hot couple or star. These five couples have likely reached the end of their lives in magazines and moviest, though some of us still care about where they are today.

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley

Katherine Heigl had an incredibly successful career after her role in ABC drama Grey’s Anatomy and romantic comedy Knocked Up. However, after more than one publicity faux pas and less than stellar type-cast romcoms, she lost her following. Katherine is now a series regular on Suits, replacing Meghan Markle, but when Markle left so did most fans. Her husband Josh has also been out of the limelight since the early 2000s. Neither of them will likely make it to the red carpet any time soon.

FKA Twigs and Shia LaBeouf

Shia Labeouf has had an interesting career and public appearance to say the least, but lately he has been more in the shadows than his contemporaries. His last box office hit was back in 2014. He’s starred in some critically-acclaimed indie films, but nothing to put him back in the spotlight. His current partner, FKA Twigs, is a singer and dancer who is most famous for her relationship with Robert Pattinson rather than for her career. Between the two of them, there seems to be nothing going on.

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey

Nick Lachey gained his fame in 98 Degrees, and then even more notoriety when he married Jessica Simpson. After getting married he and Jessica started the T.V. show Newlyweds, and her career started to surge ahead. However, after they divorced and Lachey got a new girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo, his career quickly ran flat. Aside from a stint on Dancing With The Stars, neither Nick nor Vanessa have seen much publicity.

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross

Ashlee and Evan have recently started their own reality T.V. show, Ashlee+Evan, and released a chart-topping single “I Do,” in September 2018. However, Ashlee hadn’t had a charting single since 2008, and Ross never gained any fame aside from his parentage (he is the son of Diana Ross). Though Ross was cast in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2, neither he nor Ashlee have been spotted on the red carpet in years.

Jessica Simpson and Who?

Jessica SImpson voluntarily stepped out of the spotlight to focus on her own fashion line, which has been a great success for her and her family. It is reportedly worth $1 billion and continues to grow internationally. However, she has had trouble getting back into the swing of things for her music career. Her husband, Eric Johnson, has virtually never been in the spotlight save their wedding day. He played in the NFL for seven years, but didn’t make a major impact on the sport in his time.
