Cardi B To Release ‘Invasion of Privacy’ Follow-Up In 2019

It was very hard to escape Cardi B in 2018. The New York City native became rap royalty with her debut album Invasion of Privacy. If you thought things were massive for her, wait until you hear what she has planned for 2019. On Instagram Live, Cardi B revealed plans to release her sophomore studio album this year. As expected, fans were freaking out.

Album Number Two

“Hopefully, I could get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out, but I don’t know how possible that’s gonna be because I feel like I’m going to be extremely, extremely busy,” she said.

Released last April, Invasion of Privacy debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album quickly exploded with every track making its way onto the Hot 100 chart.

Dominating The Charts

Cardi B became the first woman to have every song on their album gain Gold or higher status. Her biggest single to date is “Bodak Yellow,” which sold 7 million copies.

Last year, the rapper revealed plans to re-release Invasion of Privacy with bonus material. “The plan was always to drop a, like, bonus. But I just didn’t [think] I was going to be so busy doing back-and-forth, back-and-forth things after I gave birth. It’s like, oh my God, like, my schedule is so flooded. Maybe in December or just maybe January. I don’t know. It’s just songs that I felt were really good songs that didn’t make the album,” she said on Ebro Darden’s Beats 1 radio show.

Living My Best Life

The recent Grammy Awards officially minted Cardi B’s status as a force to be reckoned with. The rapper won Best Rap Album, making her the first female artist to ever win the award.

If that’s not enough, she’ll be a part of the upcoming Netflix hip hop competition titled Rhythm + Flow. Joining her as judges are Grammy winning rappers Chance the Rapper and T.I.
