The Outside World Woman Beats Agrressive Cancer Thanks to Mom’s Treatment Discovery Published 1 year ago on Sep 5, 2017 By Lyn Kelly When Angel Tocknell from Sutton, England was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cervical cancer that was destroying her body, doctors said she would not live much longer. A full time mom of two children aged four and 13, Angel was almost ready to give up until her own mother stepped in and found another cancer treatment. Caters News Kathy, Angel’s mom said: “I burst into tears when doctors told us Angel’s back ache and bleeding was due to advanced cervical cancer.” She also added that Angel missed her pap smear because of her pregnancy with youngest child Sienna-Louise and “after the birth she was constantly bleeding, making it impossible for her to have one done.” Caters News Angel, 31, said that “The thought of dying was terrifying.” But her mom did not want to let go of her daughter easily and started looking for treatment on the Internet. Angel said of her mom’s efforts: “(She) has been my rock throughout it all, she refused to give up on me even when there was no treatment available.” Kathy searched the Internet for possible cervical cancer treatment and came across the alternative cancer treatment, brachytherapy. Luckily, the treatment was also being offered by the same hospital Angel was going to. Caters News Undergoing assessments and eligibility tests, Angel went through several treatment stages including five sessions of chemotherapy, three rounds of blood transfusion, and one day of brachytherapy. Luckily enough, the tumors inside her body has dissolved and she is presently having rounds of checkups to see if her cancer will come back. Angel said: “It took just three months from being told I was terminally ill with just weeks to live to being rid of the cancer.” Caters News Angel was practically given a second lease on life thanks to her mom’s determination despite the doctor’s grim diagnosis. She said she is “so thankful to my mom for being my rock and all the medical staff that helped me beat cancer.” UP NEXT Singer Vanessa Carlton Gets New Piano for Musician Devastated by ...
