British Prime Minister Teresa May and Hollywood heavyweight George Clooney may not share a great deal of attributes but one that they do is their home away from home in Sonning. This village has attracted the likes of numerous different officials and celebrities and Clooney’s set up seems to be particularly extravagant.
A Quiet Village
May and Clooney are actually neighbors in Sonning, a town about an hour’s drive from London. Sonning is a small village that seems to be a favorite for political figures and entertainers alike. Some of May and Clooney’s other neighbors include Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and British foreign secetary Boris Johnson.

Additionally, illusionist Uri Geller is said to reside in the sleepy neighborhood, and Sonning has also been rumored to potentially have attracted the likes of music superstar Taylor Swift.
Quite A House
George Clooney and his wife Amal did by no means go cheap on their Sonning mansion. After buying the place in 2014 the couple had a great deal of renovations done before occupying the living space.

It is said that the property contains a library, private movie theater, a gym and much much more. What more could you ask for in a home away from home?
Do They Ever Actually See Each Other?
Prime Minister May is not usually at her Sonning getaway house, however — and for good reason. For most of the week she resides at the infamous 10 Downing Street location, the customary residence for those who hold her office. This location was built on the site of a medieval brewary and named after Sir George Downing.

For May, Sonning appears to be something of a weekend getaway home as she makes the tough decisions from her residence at 10 Downing Street. So while May and Clooney are neighbors, they probably don’t regularly exchange hellos as they walk down their driveways to get the morning paper.
