Feeling This: Blink-182’s Las Vegas Residency

Published

It’s no small thing. In fact, it’s massive. Blink-182 is coming to Las Vegas, and this time, the saying is true: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Kings Of The Weekend

The punk rockers will enjoy a “Kings of the Weekend” Rock Residency at the Palms Casino Resort. The band’s fans will undoubtedly be saying “we’ll wish this never ends,” and luckily, the band is staying in Vegas for quite a while.

Currently, the band is scheduled to perform on various weekends till the end of the year, particularly in June and October. But the question on everyone’s mind is: how much of the band will be present?

Miss You, Miss You

The band’s reunion has been shaky, to say the least. Travis Barker, Blink’s drummer, once commented: “Why Blink even got back together in the first place is questionable.” In 2015, founding member, guitarist, and vocalist Tom DeLonge announced his indefinite departure from the band. With so much drama in the open, what will their Vegas residency look like?

Current members Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Matt Skiba are all slated to blur “the line between rock, punk, and pop,” according to their press release. The show “will bring its nearly 25-year history of hit songs, inappropriate tales and nonsensical antics to life.” And the band has some surprises in store.

What’s My Age Again?

Mark Hoppus promises their beloved classics, in addition to some unexpected additions to the setlist. They’re going to pay full tribute to Las Vegas culture and traditions, including throwbacks to Sinatra and Liberace. Then he made a suggestion sure to change fans’ lives forever.

He said, “Maybe we can even marry someone on stage.” With tickets ranging from $59 to $169, it sounds like the cheapest and most incredible wedding ever.
