Celebrity couples likely spend a little more than we do on each other’s gifts. But, Katy Perry really outdid herself with the gift she bought for then-fiance Russel Brand’s 35th birthday. Perry bought him a personal ticket into space from Richard Branson’s spaceship company, Virgin Galactic. Since Perry and Brand have divorced, it’s unclear as to whether he kept this gargantuan gift or if Perry will be the one taking the space voyage.

The huge playroom was set up exactly like a candy store, with hundreds of sweets organized into different drawers. Celine Dion stayed and performed at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from 2002 to 2005. Because of this exclusive contract, she had a couple of changes made to the stage. One of the more lavish accommodation was a $2 million humidifier that hung above the stage, misting the air as she performed. It was said to “preserve her singing voice in the harsh desert climate.” The only celebrity that could top this lavish expense is up next.
