Halloween definitely brings out the best in people. This past Friday, The legendary Bette Midler was gracious enough to answer her fans’ prayer by dressing up as her well-known and beloved Hocus Pocus character, Winifred Sanderson. The 70 year old singer and actress managed to score massive points with her throwback outfit, complete with long nails, no eyebrows, buck teeth, and a curly heart shaped wig. It was a sight to see for all those who are familiar with the film.

Midler was more than willing to dig through her archives and pull out her purple dress and embroidered green robe in support of a worthy cause. She was the host of the annual Hulaween Party, which was held at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Her and other guests were in attendance to celebrate the New York Restoration Project, which is a non-profit organization that aims to bring about the much-needed public green space throughout the five boroughs.

This year’s party was hosted by comedian Kathy Griffin with legendary designer Marc Jacobs serving as the costume contest judge. Darlene Love was in charge of providing the night’s entertainment. Milder also posed to take photographs with some of the main guests such as David Rockwell and other celebrities. However, she stole the show when she posed next to one of the guests dressed as Donald Trump holding a basket filled with Tic Tacs and Barbie dolls.

This was not the first time Midler put on her Winifred groove on since staring in the popular 1993 film. During a stop in Arizona on her Divine Intervention tour last year, she took the stage to perform a rendition of ‘I Put a Spell on You.’

Earlier in the Month, Bette Midler’s Hocus Pocus co-star Sarah Jessica Parker shared her excitement regarding talks of a reunion with her evil, Salem witch sisters in the near future. Parker was thrilled with the idea, which she clearly stated on the TV show, Watch What Happens Live. She also discussed plans of making a sequel to 1993 Disney Film. According to Parker, all the main stars of the hit movie have fairly vocal about such prospects, but significant steps have not yet been taken towards such notions.

Sadly, Midler herself further debunked the rumors when she stated that even after all these years, and fan demands, she strongly believes that the prospects of a sequel were practically non-existent.

Despite all these, some of the cast still remains hopeful that a sequel will take off, but currently there are no signs to justify their hopes.
