Some plot devices have proven themselves to be tried and true, but these days, we think we can all agree that there’s a trope or two that are just plain tired and we hope Hollywood can agree it’s time to throw them in the trash. We’re just having a hard time believing that these characters in their 20s are living large while working as baristas. And why does no one lock their door? Sure your kooky neighbor can come over unannounced, but so can criminals. So we’d like to take the time to air our hokey Hollywood grievances, and then can we please retire these tropes?

It’s unheard of for superstar Hollywood heavyweights to take part in commercials. If they were to do so, you can best believe entertainment sites everywhere would be running raunchy headlines about it and making a fuss. So why is it that you probably haven’t heard about any of the hilarious commercials on our list, filled with A-list celebrities? Well, that’s because they are commercials that were aired in Japan, to promote Japanese products.
