Asia Argento recently opened up about her relationship with Parts Unknown star, Anthony Bourdain. The Italian actress met Bourdain during one of his shows in 2016, and love quickly blossomed. Before his suicide earlier this year, the two shared a beautiful relationship, and Argento is finally ready to talk about it.

Asia Argento met Anthony Bourdain in her hometown, Rome, in 2016. He would ask her for cultural assistance for his television program, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unkown. Most notably, Argento gave him a hand with her knowledge of music and film, which Anthony was then able to use in episodes of his show.

They Shared a “Free” Relationship

Both Anthony Bourdain and Asia Argento were free-spirited people, and their love life expressed that through their adventurous lifestyle. They refused to go by the rules and embraced a relationship without borders. Although the relationship lasted about two years, Argento attests that those were the best two years of her life.

Argento Received Immense Support From Bourdain

The couple’s lifestyle was very adventurous and they supported each other wholeheartedly. Anthony Bourdain very publicly supported Asia Argento’s prominent activism throughout the #MeToo movement. He didn’t back down when she made public speeches or participated in her activism. He supported her every step of the way.

You already know that while Anthony Bourdain was filming his television show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, he asked for Argento’s input for cultural assistance. Argento proclaimed that Bourdain lived life to the fullest and never held back. Adventure and exploration were his greatest values, and she valued these ideals as well through her artistic expression. His courage and free spirit was an inspiration to her and those lives he touched through his television program.
