98-year-old mom Ada Keating, from Liverpool, England moved into her old aged son’s nursing facility because of his need for additional care. The dedicated parent decided to move in with her eldest son, Tom in Moss View Nursing Facility not only to be together, but also to provide her son with the assistance he needs.

Tom, who previously worked as a painter and decorator most of his adulthood never married and has lived most of his life with his mom, Ada.

Daily Mail featured their story and the caring mom said: “I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night and I’ll go and say good morning to him.”

“When I get back [home] he’ll come to me with his arms outstretched and give me a big hug. You never stop being a mom.”

The relationship the old aged mother and son share has lasted because of their loving bond. Tom said: “Sometimes she’ll say: ‘Behave yourself’. She’s very good at looking after me.”

Tom grew up with three other siblings, the other two died in their early teens. Ada’s husband Harry has also departed. She worked as an auxiliary nurse in Mill Road Hospital before retiring.

Debi Higham, Ada’s granddaughter, along with other relatives regularly visit the two and says that they are happy that both Ada and Tom can spend their time together in the same facility. She said: “There’s no parting them. It’s reassuring for us that they’re both getting looked after 24/7.”

Moss View manager, Philip Daniels said: “It’s very touching to see the close relationship both Tom and Ada share and we are so pleased we were able to accommodate both of their needs.”

“It’s very rare to see mothers and their children together in the same care home and we certainly want to make their time together as special as possible. They are inseparable.”
