Movie fans’ everywhere will surely get a kick out of the 2019 Oscars. This year’s ceremony, which takes place at the Dolby Theatre, will feature some stiff competition. For everyone, though, it’s an honor to be nominated. We spotlight a few categories and give our take on who will land on top.

Best Supporting Actress

For the Best Supporting Actress category, The Favourite controls things with both Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. If the Golden Globes is an indicator of things, they might come up short to Regina King again. At the ceremony, the Ohio native beat both ladies for the Best Supporting Actress win.

Annapurna Pictures

Best Picture

The Best Picture category features everything from superheroes (Black Panther) to vice presidents (Vice). Two films that are on everyone’s lips are Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book. Both movies managed to walk away with Best Picture wins in their respective categories at the Golden Globes. Green Book’s stellar delivery will definitely give it the win at the Oscars.

Universal Studios

Best Original Song

If you’re looking for an eclectic list of nominations, look no further than Best Original Song. This year’s nominees range from hip hop (“All The Stars”) to country (“When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings”). For Lady Gaga, this could be her first ever Best Original Song win for “Shallow”. In 2016, her song “Til It Happens to You” was nominated.

Warner Bros.
