Which Foundation is Best For Your Skin?

Foundation – one of the biggest staples that every girl needs in her makeup bag. If you’re anything like me, who can barely manage to put on mascara without getting it all over her face, you probably have some troubles using foundation. Until very recently, I didn’t even know how to use it properly, and I’m still slowly but surely learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to something as vital as foundation. But the first thing that every girl needs to know is that there are hundreds of different types of foundations, and not all foundations are going to be right for your skin.

Every foundation has it’s own perks and downfalls to it, doing different things to skin on some than it does to skin of others – so it’s very important for every girl to find the perfect foundation that matches her skin type and skin tone.

First thing’s first, you have to do a bit of studying on your own skin. Is your skin generally really dry most of the time? Does it feel greasy a lot and uncomfortable with all of the grease that’s just sitting on your face throughout the day? Do you have a lot of acne or blemishes that you want to hide? These are all questions that you really need to ask yourself before you decide which foundation is best for you, as different ones are designed specifically for certain types of skin.

It’s also worth mentioning that if you have a lot of skin problems, you’re going to want to be very careful when it comes to choosing a foundation. If you’re prone to breaking out after having things on your face, it might be best to get something that has good ratings when it comes to a dermatologist. These generally have been tested for many different allergies, used with much higher quality ingredients in them, and will be less likely to end in your face breaking out over it. These will probably be on the pricier side, but if it works and it works well without any problems, a good quality foundation is definitely worth it.
