In 2001, Hollywood decided to revive a beloved franchise with the Josie and the Pussycats film. While the film didn’t clean house at the box office, it became a surprising cult classic. Let’s look at the cast of this film and see where they’ve been up to lately.

Tara Reid

While shooting the film, Tara Reid became a household name with her work in American Pie. Nowadays, she’s a pillar in the cult franchise, Sharknado. The New Jersey native has also found herself behind the camera on several projects. Along with fellow Jerseyan Rob Hawk, she produced the bullying film, Worthless.

Missi Pyle

One of Missi Pyle’s first movie roles was portraying Alexander’s twin sister, Alexandra. The Texan expanded her talents as part of the country group, Smith & Pyle, with fellow actress Shawnee Smith. Pyle still finds her way in box office smashes such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Gone Girl.

Paulo Costanzo

Paulo Costanzo, who portrayed the Pussycats’ manager, found success on the main cast of Royal Pains. During his time on the hit USA drama, the Canadian directed a trio of episodes. Following the show’s final season in 2016, Costanzo was cast alongside actor/musician Kiefer Sutherland in Designated Survivor.

Universal Pictures/Sylvain Gaboury

Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson quickly became a sought after star following her work in Rent and Sin City. Comic book fans recognize her as Claire Temple from Marvel Comics’ Netflix shows. As an adopted child, Dawson felt it was important to give someone the same opportunities she had. She currently lives in New York City with her adopted daughter.

Rachael Leigh Cook

Over the years, Rachael Leigh Cook has found herself in the vocal booth a bit more. Video game fans recognize her best as Tifa Lockhart in the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy franchises. Since 2016, she’s been starring in a string of Hallmark Channel TV movies. In between roles, she’s taking care of her two kids with her husband, Daniel Gillies.
