Victoria Beckham: Best Red Carpet Looks From Posh to Glam
Victoria Beckham, Posh Spice, Posh, VB–whatever you want to call her, one thing is certain, the woman has got style. For decades she’s reigned as a leading icon of fashion, and it’s no wonder she earned the nickname “Posh.” From her leather mini skirt-clad days with the Spice Girls, we’ve seen her graduate into a full-fledged glamazon gracing the covers of elite magazines and showcasing her couture collections on the catwalk. The pop princess turned WAG/savvy business mogul/fashion designer/mother is undoubtedly one of the world’s most chic celebs. Therefore, we suggest you “spice up your life” and take a look at her most ravaging red carpet looks from the ‘90s to now.
Harvey Nichols Fragrance Launch
The same year that her name became a fashion brand, Victoria Beckham looked simply heavenly in this fur-backed white pencil dress. The brunette beauty accompanied the angelic-looking frock with her signature somber pout at a 2008 event in Manchester.
The former Spice Girl was looking good and no doubt was smelling great at the UK launch of husband David’s new fragrance for Harvey Nichols. The photo was taken a year after the Beckhams moved to America, but in 2014 the famous family said “cheers” to the States and returned to their native Britain.
Her Best Friends’ Wedding
Even before she was at the helm of a world-recognized fashion label, Victoria Beckham was among the creme de la creme of celebrity high society. That superstar status translates into loads of wedding invitations from her famous pals, including her long-time BFF Elton John.
The English enchantress wore this eye-catching red and fur ensemble to the civil partnership ceremony between the Rocket Man and David Furnish in 2005. The whole Beckham crew attended the pair’s wedding nine years later, and John is godfather to the two oldest Beckham boys, Brooklyn and Romeo.

All Glammed Up at the Met Gala
Trading in her iconic LDB for this white-hot lace gown, Victoria Beckham and soccer star husband, David, rock custom Giorgio Armani ensembles on the red carpet in New York at the legendary annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in 2008.
Officially crowned Britain’s best-looking couple, it’s moments like this that “Posh and Becks” demonstrate their incredibly impeccable taste when it comes to both solo and coordinated getups. Incidentally, this sensational snap was taken the same year that Victoria launched her eponymous fashion line.
Red Hot in Madrid
Fashionista Victoria Beckham was sizzling in Madrid at a ceremony to celebrate her cover on “Vogue” Spain’s February 2018 edition. She wore this ruffled red chiffon dress that put a contemporary “posh” twist on classic Flamenco attire. The lilac pumps also added a fabulously quirky touch.
Although Beckham has graced many glossy magazine covers throughout her career, the coveted spot on a “Vogue” publication is seen as a prestigious badge of honor. Now aged 43, the fashion maven wowed fans with her jaw-dropping cover shoot that pays tribute to her timeless sartorial status and major “girl power.”
A Muse in Milan
Victoria Beckham may be petite in stature, but she’s a giant in the fashion world boasting of designer friends from the top echelon of the industry. Before she launched her own acclaimed brand, her status as a pop culture icon made her a prime choice as a model for high-end lines.
Around the time the Spice Girls were dusting off their platforms for their reunion tour, Beckham was exclusively contracted to walk the runway and red carpets dressed in Roberto Cavalli’s luxury designs. Her svelte figure and toned gams in this plunging, white-slit gown made everyone say “zig-a-zig-ah” at the 2006 Milan Fashion Week.
Gal Pals in Glam
Partly due to the practical clean cuts and refined minimalism of her line, and partly due to her celebrity renown, Beckham not only sets fashion trends but designs threads worn by other glitterati gals. She’s dressed stars like Eva Longoria (pictured left), Naomi Campbell and Melania Trump.
Her simple yet stylish collection is full of chic reinterpretations of pristine-cut classics with elegant, elongating hemlines and touches of British formality that appeal to glamorous ladies in Hollywood, Washington, London and, basically, everywhere.
The London Olympics
For a few glorious minutes filled with uniform choreography and heartwarmingly campy hits, we were transported back to the glory of the ‘90s when the Spice Girls reunited to blow our socks off at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Victoria Beckham revisited her role as Posh Spice alongside her four iconic gal pals for a show-stopping sequence. Although all of our favorite girl band members were looking downright A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, Beckham was a total knockout in her Giles Deacon mullet dress.
A 2005 Throwback
Is that… could that be… the semblance of a smile with teeth? Yes! Although she’s famous for her steely pursed-pout pose, can we just say that VB looks strikingly radiant and warm when she sports her pearly whites.
We can’t deny that she totally pulled off this lime green, floral embellished gown while accompanying her sports star husband at an award ceremony in Portugal. However, this priceless throwback proves just how much her tastes have progressed since the days of hair extensions and citrus-colored Grecian gowns.
You won’t believe what VB wore in the next flashback look!
At the MTV Movie Awards
Before she was the queen of sleek chic, Victoria Beckham loved to rock skin-tight, bodycon minis that showed off all of her toned limbs and definitely made a statement. While zebra print and the Carrie Bradshaw-inspired peeking pink bra look isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, it was for VB.
Over the decades she has since traded in her thigh-high hems for more modest apparel, yet no matter the cut, the former Spice Girl has always had a way of surprisingly making everything she’s thrown on look top-notch trendy. She’s definitely giving Barbie a run for her money here.
Bold and Backless at the Bambi Awards
Victoria Beckham is now known as a queen of monochrome. However, in the 2000s she was known to spice things up with bold prints like this lavish Roberto Cavalli frock at the 58th Annual BAMBI Awards in Germany in 2006.
The stylista looked ravishing sporting her signature blunt “Pob” (Posh + bob) hairstyle and this black-and-gold fishtail gown with a sexy back cutout. Complete with a high neckline and lace detailing, the dress is perhaps one of the most intricate pieces she has doned since becoming Mrs. Beckham.
Ravishing in Red at the Met Gala
Posh was totally ravaging in this stunning red and black tulle bell dress. Along with the welcomed pop of color, Beckham displayed her genetically awe-inspiring ability to sport a variety of hairstyles that compliment her flawless fact, this time opting for long highlighted tresses at the event held under the banner of “AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion.”
Beckham stole the spotlight at the 2006 Met Gala in this strapless Roland Mouret dress that she paired with equally as eye-popping strappy sandal stilettos and a dazzling ruby and diamond necklace. We covet them all.
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Although it’s not actually her namesake fashion show (she’d get that later), Victoria Beckham as always looked red carpet ready in this vampy, metallic embellished frock and oh-so-British, noir lace fascinator while performing on the catwalk at the 2007 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Victoria again reverted back to her Posh Spice persona as the Spice Girls kicked off their North American reunion tour at the annually-anticipated lingerie show. Admittedly not a vocally talented as her bandmates, Beckham seems to have made the right move pursuing a fashion career rather than one as a solo singer.
New York Fashion Week 2012
There’s no doubt about it, we all “Wannabe” as fabulous and chic as Victoria Beckham. While she’s been in the limelight since her peace-sign-slinging years as a Spice Girl, she’s since become a huge inspiration as a female entrepreneur who powered through to succeed despite all of the naysayers.
The fashion firebrand may have hundreds of stores in over 60 nations, but she says her ultimate goal is help make women feel empowered and confident no matter their size or budget. For those looking to emulate looks like her LBD and leather boot combo, you’re in luck since she launched a collection for Target in 2017.
Don’t miss the next couple of off-the-hook outfits that VB rocked.
THAT Wedding Dress
We’ve already seen that Victoria Beckham looks killer in a white gown. But, perhaps none that she’s worn on the red carpet are as iconic as the billowing ivory Vera Wang dress she wore down the wedding aisle in 1999.
Since her nuptials, Victoria has traded in her maiden name, Adams, in favor of her soccer player husband’s. The fashion empress also opted to leave behind her diamond encrusted tiara and gaudy cross necklace for more sophisticated pieces. The strapless satin gown, however, is still in Beckham’s (likely ENORMOUS) closet.
Looking Regal at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
When Victoria and David Beckham relocated with their three little boys (their daughter Harper would come later) to the US in 2007, she was able to reinvent herself from her image as a WAG and former pop star to that of a serious force to be reckoned with in the fashion establishment.
The celebrity power couple and their brood settled in LA, where David had signed to play for the city’s pro soccer team. The famous pair was (and remains) a prominent fixture in Hollywood, regularly attending A-lister events like the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, at which Victoria is pictured here in an elegant, champagne-hued belted column dress (designed by her).
A Family Fashion Affair
Victoria Beckham took the eldest of her four children, Brooklyn, as her red carpet date at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in 2015. The mogul matron of the Beckham clan was dressed to the nines in a strappy orange column dress that showed off her super slim figure.
It appears that Brooklyn has inherited his mother’s uber sleek style, as has the rest of the family. Apart from being his famous parents’ son, Brooklyn has started to make a name for himself as a social media sensation and aspiring actor and model and all-around hard-working teen.
The Royal Wedding
When you’re pop culture royalty like the Beckhams, your star-studded squad of friends includes actual, blue-blooded royalty – as in members of the British monarchy (no biggie). Brushing shoulders with the likes of Queen Elizabeth at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding is just a day in the life of these beautiful Brits.
Victoria was about six months pregnant with daughter Harper at the royal wedding in 2011, but she looked positively regal in a simple navy shift dress of her own design. Umm, can we also point out those Louboutins she was sauntering around Westminster Abbey in. We couldn’t even do that sans baby bump!
Armani 5th Ave Opening
VB was the spitting image of pixie perfection in this crystal-embellished blush mini that was custom made for her for the 2009 grand opening of Giorgio Armani’s 5th Avenue store in Manhattan. The Beckhams unveiled their famously racy underwear-clad ad for Armani at the VIP event.
By that point, Beckham had already launched her own collection of dresses, but she had no problem spurring fan frenzy over another designer’s threads. The Italian fashion house got so many questions about Beckham’s glam frock that they decided to produce it for retail.
MTV Movie Awards 2003
The Beckhams blew onlookers away in their glistening white silk D&G outfits at the MTV Movie Awards in 2003. The pair’s penchant for coordinated couple getups has garnered many comments over the years, but luckily their fashion senses have evolved since their “twinin’” times.
Despite what the fashion police may have said, Posh looked positively bridal in her smashing form-fitting lace-up gown. Although the couple was facing allegations at the time of an affair between the sex symbol soccer star as his former PA, they appeared to demonstrate ever the united front as they have until this day.
British Fashion Awards
Victoria Beckham is no stranger to the fashion elite. She’s a regular fixture at the prestigious Fashion Awards that are held every year in Britain. In 2010, two years after launching her fashion line, Beckham attended the Oscars of the fashion world rocking this slinky, thigh-high slit gown from her collection.
Striking her iconic popped-leg pose, the former Spice Girl was nominated that year for the best “Designer Brand” award along with competitors Burberry, Mulberry and Pringle of Scotland. The next year she won the award, cementing her place in the fashion industry.
A New York Night
It’s always a sight when Victoria Beckham breaks from her norm of geometric neutrals and solid-colored attire. And such was the case when Mrs. Beckham stepped out in New York in 2015 looking super chic in a bold fuchsia slip dress with a satin navy trench.
Apart from the gloriously gilded Balmain heels, the rest of the outfit was from Beckham’s own collection. Although she has been in the limelight for decades and has only become more famous since her years as a Spice Girl, she’s always the main model for her line. You know if she really wears her designs, they’ve got to be posh!
CFDA Fashion Awards 2008
Women want her wardrobe and designers want to dress her. With her pop star past, affinity for luxury looks and her killer bod, Victoria Beckham makes the ideal red carpet model for haute couture creations by the world’s top designers.
In 2008, Beckham was the face of visionary designer Marc Jacobs’ spring line. At that year’s CFDA Fashion Awards, she not only looked exquisite in a frothy black mini with whimsical heart-shaped ruffles by Jacobs, but she must have told David to “mind yourself a moment, love” while she opted to pose alongside the designer.
At the ESPY Awards
The soccer world may have been dying to “bend it like Beckham,” but fashionistas the globe world over have always been aspiring to wear it like Victoria. From her “Posh” days of Gucci minis to her classy era of self-designed masterpieces, she’s always exuded an air of opulence.
Such was the case when she channeled fellow British fashion icon Audrey Hepburn at the 2008 ESPY Awards in LA, where she wore this lemon chiffon pencil dress, oversized sunglasses and a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” bun. Slay!
Alexander McQueen Exhibit 2015
The Spice Girls memorably sang the hit “When 2 Become 1” and the Beckhams always unite to compliment each other on the red carpet. Although they aren’t as matchy-matchy now as they were a few slides back, their public outing style is always expertly executed.
The designer slash fashion icon slash muse wore a dramatic black cutout floral gown at an Alexander McQueen exhibit in 2015 in native Britain. McQueen once blacklisted the size-0 mother of four. But she looked completely in place striking her signature head tilt in the strapless number that (you guessed right) she designed!
Roberto Cavalli Lunch 2007
In 2007, the Beckhams moved to America (and we finally understood what the term “posh” meant), but it didn’t stop the family’s fashion maven mom from jet-setting off to glamorous events like the Roberto Cavalli flagship store opening in Paris. She was still rocking a platinum bob in those days and experimented with shorter hemlines.
This sexy flapper-inspired mini with a jeweled bodice and fringed tassel hem was smoking in a dark and mysterious kind of way. Although we love the sensible solid tones that are her signature staple these days, we wouldn’t mind if she brought back some sparkle spice.
The White Tie and Tiara Ball 2005
Now leading a full-fledged fashion empire, the designer formerly known as Posh Spice has donned some pretty daring looks on her way to the top of the style totem pole. Back in 2005 at Elton John’s annual White Tie and Tiara Ball, Beckham turned heads and made headlines with her rib-crushingly tight statuesque Roberto Cavalli gown.
The design of the frock, dubbed the “Ming Vase” dress, was inspired by Chinese porcelain motifs. The dress was apparently so tight, that Beckham couldn’t sit down. Photos of her in the va-va-voom ensemble spurred comments on her size and weight, nonetheless, she looked like a total dish.
Pre-World Cup Party 2006
When Victoria Beckham wasn’t cheering her husband and legendary former English national team captain on in the World Cup, Posh ‘n’ Becks were partying it up ahead of the celebrated competition. Soccer took the Posh’s superstar husband from the UK to Spain, Italy and the US.
In 2006, Germany hosted the World Cup and of course, the Beckhams caused a media frenzy. Although the English team flopped on the pitch, all eyes were on the extravagant Victoria, especially when she opted for an attention-grabbing neon gown at a pre-competition party.
Don’t miss next few of Victoria Beckham’s best fashion moments.
Met Gala 2003
The annual Met Gala is renowned for being the place for fashion-forward celebrities to see and be seen. The glitzy gathering is evidently one of Victoria Beckham’s favorite places to show off her favorite trends and let the rest of the world what’s in.
Even at her first Met Gala appearance in 2003, Beckham was photographed alongside established fashion legends Naomi Campbell, Stefano Gabbana, Linda Evangelista. Her style has definitely evolved since.
69th Annual Cannes Film Festival
Whether she’s wowing us in a glamorous gown, looking effortlessly chic in stylish street clothes or defying gender stereotypes in feminine suit-inspired attire, Victoria Beckham is always a vision in her vesture, while her famous husband is known for constantly looking sharp in tuxes.
But at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, Mrs. Beckham was the one sporting a black-and-white trouser pantsuit on the star-studded red carpet. Although the festival has a notoriously strict dress code, VB basically said “I’ll tell you what I want” – and that was to ditch the grandiose gown and STILL be the belle of the ball.
MTV Music Awards 1997
We’re just going to leave you with this blast from the past to remind you just how far the princess of posh has come in her sartorial saga. Those LBDs (and their metallic sisters) that initially made her famous are still staples to her wicked awesome wardrobe.
She’s proved that no matter if she’s rocking voluminous ‘70s style blowouts or bold pixie cuts, princess gowns or a potato sack, fashion has always been her forte. For the Spice Girls, friendship may never end; and for Victoria Beckham, neither will the awesome clothes.
