‘Twilight’ Star Mackenzie Foy Is All Grown Up—See What She’s Been Up To

Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series is regarded as one of the best sagas of all time. Do you remember when Bella Swan gave birth to a half-vampire, half-human in the final installment? Well, guess what! Little Renesmee Cullen is all grown up now and is making a name for herself.

Meet Renesmee Cullen

In Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Stewart’s Bella Swan gave birth to Edward Cullen’s half-vampire, half-human child. The subsequent Part 2 film introduced the child, Renesmee, played by young child star, Mackenzie Foy. Fans waited for Bella and Edward to have a child, and many were pleased with the casting choice—as Foy proved to be a perfect fit in the vampire saga.

A Child Star From The Beginning

Foy was just 11 years old at the time Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was released, and she quickly caught the attention of nearly every director in Hollywood. Before her appearance, Foy was just an average kid who appeared in a variety of commercials, including for Barbie, Pantene, Blackberry, and Disney. She also appeared in television guest star roles before landing the role as Renesmee Cullen.

Earning More And More Roles

Fans of the 2013 horror film The Conjuring might remember seeing Foy appear as one of several daughters in a rural farmhouse with an unwanted, supernatural guest. Despite working on a horror film, Foy had a pleasant experience—because it led to her friendship with fellow child star, Joey King. But, in case you’re wondering, 2013 was five years ago. What is Foy up to now?

Just Your Average Teenager

If you can even believe it, Foy is now 17 years old. She has a black belt in TaeKwon-Do, and starred in the 2014 space film, Interstellar, as Matthew McConaughey’s daughter. She learned from some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including McConaughey, as well as Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway. In the meantime, Foy is your average teenager— who loves Imagine Dragons, spending time with her family and friends (including her dog), and fangirls over Gilmore Girls.

Starring In A Holiday Classic

Twilight fans will always remember her as Renesmee Cullen, but Foy is breaking away from her childhood roles. She’s making a name for herself in the highly anticipated release of Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Slated for release in November 2018, Foy stars as Clara, the young girl from the classic Russian ballet who is tasked with taking care of a precious Nutcracker Christmas doll. A new adventure begins for Foy, and we look forward to seeing where else her career will take her.
