Tilda Swinton Just Joined Wes Anderson’s French Musical, And Even More Stars Are Rumored

Published

on

Director Wes Anderson has a new and interesting project under way, a post-World War II French musical. What’s even more interesting, however, is some of the big names he’s bringing on board, particularly the newest addition, Tilda Swinton.

Former Collaborators

Swinton and Anderson are no strangers to one another’s work. Swinton lent her voice to the director’s recent animated film Isle Of Dogs. The greatly talented actor also held major rolls in two other previous works of Anderson’s, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Butapest Hotel.

The Beat

WIth this in mind, it seems fair to say that the two have a strong working relationship with one another.

Big Production

Anderson’s new musical project is said to be an adaptation of Jacques Tati’s comedy Monsiur Hulot’s Holdiday from 1953. Anderson and co. are keeping most of the details surrounding the new film quiet but it is said to be scheduled for a February 2020 release.

IndieWIre

All we can do is speculate for the time being, but there sure is a lot to speculate about. As with all things Wes Anderson, it should be interesting to say the least.

More Big Names?

In addition to Tilda Swinton, there are rumors circulating about more film heavy hitters being included in this grand musical. Two of the most notable actors? None other than Natalie Portman and Brad Pitt. That’s right, there is talk that these two actors just might have a place in this new Anderson production. Talk about big names!

Papel Pop

While there is not a great deal known about Wes Anderson‘s new musical number, the names that have surrounded it are unignorable. Tilda Swinton alone brings a hefty dose of acting greatness to the piece and to also have the likes of Natalile Portman or Brad Pitt OR BOTH would obviously be phenomenal. We’ll just have to wait and see, however, but judging by Anderson’s previous work and the long resumes of these three goliath Hollywood names, dissapointment seems unlikely.
