Tattoo Artist’s Insane Proposal Makes Girlfriend Emotional
While ordinary men ask their girlfriends to marry them verbally, in writing, or through a song. However, Tattoo artist Vinny Capaldo-Smith asked his girlfriend, Brooke Wodark, to marry him through a tattoo proposal.
In a video uploaded by Wodark on Facebook capturing the moment she discovered Smith’s brand-new tattoo, one can clearly read the words: “Will you marry me?” complete with two boxed choices of “yes” or “no”.
Apparently, Smith requested Wodark to tattoo a heart on his ankle but before she actually put the needle on his skin, the tattoo artist lifted up his shorts for her to see the question and brought out the ring immediately for her to know the proposal was serious. Wodark can be seen crying tears of joy after she marked the “yes” box.
“I had no idea. In my mind, I was just scared to tattoo in general,” she said, noting that she had never tattooed anyone before. “He told me I was going to tattoo a heart on his ankle and I was freaking out. When he whipped out the ring I just started crying. I looked at it for a second and I was like, ‘No way. Are you kidding? That’s not a real tattoo,” Wodark told ABC News.
What made the tattoo even more special was the fact that the doodle above the question was a replica of what Wodark originally drew on a restaurant’s paper tablecloth a couple of months ago.
“It was an idea from elementary school from when you pass somebody a note to check off the boxes,” Smith said about what inspired his tattoo proposal.
A tattoo proposal might have been expected from a tattoo artist but Wodark admitted that she was still surprised about the whole thing.
“I really didn’t see this coming at all which, looking back, I should have maybe expected a tattoo of some sort. I had no idea it was going to happen that day. I was just over-the-top ecstatic. It was everything I ever wanted and more,” Wodark said.
