Erin Robertson was feeling incredibly uncomfortable while getting ready for a first date and suffering from a broken air conditioner at the height of summer. Sweat from her breasts kept dripping down her stomach and she figured there must be a solution. Robertson figured that other women must have this issue too, so she searched frantically online for a practical solution aside from baby powder and wash cloths. Disappointingly, she found nothing. This was the beginning of the Ta-Ta Towel, which may look a bit unusual but has recently been gaining tons of fans.
Taking the matter into her own hands, Robertson seriously thought of a way how girls can stay comfortable braless while getting ready for an event or just lounging at home and she had the idea for the Ta-Ta Towel.
The product was designed primarily to keep the boobs comfortable, dry and “free”. It does not have any hook and stays on by hugging the breasts.
Though she was unsure how people would respond, after she started handing them out to her friends for feedback, she was overwhelmed by their positive responses.
“I started handing the towels out to my friends to get some feedback. To my wonderful surprise, what I thought was just a solution to boob sweat turned out to help other women in so many different ways. A friend of mine got rashes under her breasts due to moisture buildup; after using the towel, her rashes completely disappeared. The towel kept her breasts dry — bye-bye rashes,” Robertson wrote on her website.
The designer boasts that the Ta-Ta Towel is multi-functional as it can be worn while relaxing at home, in the spa, or even at the gym.
Apparently, even breastfeeding mothers will find the product helpful. The response has been so positive that she patented the product, according to the website.
Robertson added that her invention is especially great for pregnant women because it “absorbs any breast milk that might leak out during feeding.”
