Everyone wants their wedding to be memorable. Whether it’s a 20-piece mariachi band or a surprise celebrity appearance, there are so many ways to make it happen. One celebrity managed to do so much more than that; he made this couple’s special day go viral.

Love And Marriage

Everyone knows David Harbour as police chief Jim Hopper in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things. What many don’t know is that he’s also a wedding officiant. After a short social media break, the actor posted a photo of himself at a fan’s wedding.

“Me and some fun folks in Springfield, Illinois made good on our promise we made all those months ago,” he posted on Twitter.

Letting The Public Decide

Back in January, Twitter user @ErickaElizabth wondered about possibly having Harbour attend her wedding. The actor handed that decision over to the Internet. “125k retweets. Provided date works with s3 shooting schedule, I will get ordained and perform ceremony,” he Tweeted. In under 24 hours, the bride managed to gain over 134,000 retweets.

Upon seeing the immense support, Habour decided to get ready for his new role. He didn’t walk away without giving a warning to devoted fans. “I’m making it seriously hard next time, internet, this is not over between us,” he jokingly wrote.

Making Dreams Come True

Harbour is known to be one of the most giving actors on social media. Last year, he issued the same retweet challenge to a fan wanting a yearbook photo with him. After gaining over 25,000 retweets, he posed with the lady’s trombone and school sweatshirt.

This year, Harbour gained a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Season three of Stranger Things is slated to be released sometime in 2019.
