Silicon Valley’s TJ Miller Arrested For Attacking an Uber Driver

TJ Miller, who plays the lovable, albeit sometimes abrasive character Erlich Bachman on Silicon Valley has been arrested early morning on December 9. Reports indicated that the arrest was in connection with an alleged assault against an Uber driver. Miller, who also played a major role in the hit superhero movie Deadpool, allegedly slapped an Uber driver in Hollywood Hills. The apparent reason for the alleged attack is still unclear at this time, although there was an ensuing argument prior to the physical altercation.

Miller and the Uber driver were said to have engaged in a heated argument about the recent presidential elections, which was won by previously unpopular Republican candidate Donald Trump. The particulars of the argument have not been made clear, but it is apparent that the difference in opinion was severe enough to motivate both parties to engage in physical violence. Miller has been a staunch opposer to Trump’s campaign and has made his opinions known in Social Media.

After the alleged slap, the Uber driver put Miller in a headlock and called the police to the scene. According to the official police report, Miller was intoxicated but still coherent enough to answer the questions of responding officers. He was subsequently cited for Misdemeanor but was later released after posting bail, which was set at $20,000. It was also reported that the driver did not have any apparent physical injuries despite his claim of having been slapped very hard on the face.

Meanwhile, the actor still managed to attend the GQ red carpet event, in connection with his efforts to promote his new movie Office Christmas Party, which was released on December 9. TJ Miller seems to be moving up the Hollywood ladder very quickly, as he now co-stars with big names such as Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman.

This minor legal hiccup aside, TJ Miller’s career is looking bright at least for now. Apart from his recent movies, Silicon Valley remains one of the most popular HBO programs today, with a very active fan following. The hit show has been renewed for a fourth season early this year and is set to come back in early 2017.

By all accounts, the arrest, and alleged physical assault is an isolated incident. Fans of the actor expressed their support of Miller, who has undoubtedly made his mark in Hollywood, where a unique brand of comedy comes very rarely these days. At this time, no other charges have been filed against Miller and all seems to be looking well for the rest of the year for the talented actor.
