Rose got her start in the fashion industry in 2002. She joined a model search for Girlfriend Magazine, a top publication in her native Australia. The Battle Against Depression

In 2016, Rose vulnerably revealed a secret: she suffers from depression. It was a constant battle that made her feel like she “failed at being a human being.” She tried both therapy and rehab and was even hospitalized at one point. However, she continued to fight the mental illness and has inspired others to do the same.

Making A Transition?

Growing up, Rose believed that she was a boy on the inside. She even started saving money to make a permanent change. Rose collected spare change whenever she could for the operation, which cost $20,000. However, later on, she realized that she was indeed a woman, and was glad she didn’t actually get the surgery.
