When it comes to work, everyone must be paid fairly. In the world of television, many actors stand by each other when it comes to contracts. One show will be delivering a hefty increase to their beloved stars.

Everyone Gets A Raise

Westworld has been a ratings smash for HBO since debuting back in 2016. The sci-fi Western has been confusing fans and critics with its intriguing storyline. With season three being confirmed over the summer, the producers need to make salary changes to reflect everyone’s hard work.

Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, and Jeffrey Wright are slated to earn around $250,000 an episode. They originally made around $150,000 an episode during the first two seasons. When it comes to paying, these four actors are placed on a high tier.

What About These Two?

While those four actors are seeing a fine paycheck, Tessa Thompson and James Marsden aren’t listed. Both actors have been very crucial to the show’s overall success. This could mean that both stars will have a smaller time on screen for the third season.

Other actors, who are being placed on the second tier of payment, will renegotiate their contracts soon.

Time For A Change

Newton has been extremely vocal about having better pay on the show. “Every year I go into a new production or a new season of Westworld, and I didn’t even think to ask for more because I just feel so grateful to be working. But we need to expect more for ourselves,” Newton said at Cannes Lions. Her work on the show recently earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

HBO

Season three of Westworld will begin shooting next June. Joining the cast next season is Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul. There’s no word on what character he’ll portray on the hit series.
