Fans in the United States will have to wait a little longer to get their fix. The catalog will make its way stateside before the year is over.

Nothing But Classics

What exactly comes with this Netflix deal? First, you get the classic Python films. Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life will be there for your on-demand pleasure. Next, their beloved Flying Circus will be available in its entirety. This 45-episode series kickstarted the whole franchise.

Finally, a handful of specials will arrive. Their 2014 live show Monty Python Live (mostly) – One Down Five to Go will be available for the first time on a major streaming platform. Its accompanying documentary Monty Python – The Meaning of Live gives you a behind the scenes look at the reunion.

New Material In The Works?

That’s not the only exciting Monty Python news arriving from Netflix. The streaming service is looking to create new content featuring the group’s surviving members. The service has been on a roll with their comedy specials, so this news isn’t shocking at all.

John Philips

The last time all five members appeared on screen together was in the 2015 film Absolutely Anything. This was their first film together since The Meaning of Life back in 1983.
