Most of us want to hang onto our good looks as long as we possibly can, but one woman is saying that aging gracefully is more a curse than a comfort.

51-year-old Jane Curnow is a fitness model who claims she’s lost all of her female friends because they can’t get a handle their jealousy of her. Read on for the very strange story the model wants us all to know.

Curnow realized she was too beautiful for her own good after she divorced her second husband and started going to the bars with her lady friends. She claims she was getting all of the attention and it left her girlfriends feeling bitter.

Curnow claims every time she leaves the house she gets a constant flow of  “looks and comments” and feels like men undress her with their eyes. “Women were and are still jealous and resentful towards me,” said the fitness model. “At first, I didn’t put it down to my looks and their own insecurities.” In other words, Curnow thought she figured out why women hate her.

‘Things Are Getting Worse’

Curnow was surprised when the jealousy started to reach beyond her circle of friends to strangers who have seen her in magazines and online. She’s always struggled with depression, and the comments didn’t help. Curnow says she’s had friends walk out on her in the middle of their outings because of the male attention she received. And she never got those friends back.

Not long after these events took place, Curnow was diagnosed with depression. By the time she turned 40, she understood her depression was linked to her loss of friends because of her good looks.

Curnow attempted suicide twice in her 40s because of that depression. That’s when she turned to body building, and she claims it saved her life. “I asked myself, ‘If I’m as good looking as everyone says, then why am I so unhappy? Why aren’t I living the dream?'” she asked. So she started entering body building competitions.

Her Epiphany

Winning competitions didn’t bring her the satisfaction she was craving, so she stopped striving to look as good as humanly possible and started looking within. “If you don’t love yourself without the body and looks, this doesn’t change when you do. In fact, it only highlights how much you hate the person inside,” she said.
