Grant and Cassandra met online via Facebook and after dating for some time, both knew that they were meant to spend the rest of their lives together. Since Cassandra also has a daughter, five-year-old Adrianna, Grant’s marriage proposal also came in two – a proposal to be a husband to Cassandra and another one to be a dad to Adrianna.

In a post on HowHeAsked.com, Cassandra shared that “Grant and I talked very early on in our relationship that we knew we would spend the rest of our lives together. As time went on I could only tell our relationship was getting closer to the next step.”

The couple had been dating for six and half months and while Cassandra admitted that their relationship had its own challenges, all these only brought them closer together and reflected the kind of man Grant really was.

“I have gotten to witness an attractive, charming bachelor become a positive, loving and utterly the most selfless father to my little girl,” Cassandra revealed.

Cassandra vividly recalled the proposal moment. “We got to a wooden bridge in the middle of the forest and he got down on one knee,” she said. “As soon as he got down on one knee, my friend, who is a professional photographer, came out of hiding and captured one of the best moments of my life!”

After Cassandra said yes, Grant turned to Adrianna, got down on one knee and asked: “Adrianna can I be your daddy, to promise to love and protect you for the rest of your life?”

Adrianna said yes and screamed with delight saying, “ I finally get a daddy!”

Grant gave Adrianna a heart necklace as a symbol that the five-year-old carries a piece of Grant’s heart with her.
