What It’s Like to Wear Bold Lip Colors
Many women are scared to step out in a bright, bold lip color. Why? Because it’s a statement. It’s something that attracts attention, and many women are just not up to having that many eyes on them. It can be a powerful (and empowering) statement, but most women are just not ready to make it. Still, just take a look at any of your favorite celebrities rocking a bold lip color and you might feel inspired! These shades can look gorgeous and sexy, and often prompt thoughts like: What if I were to have the guts to wear a color like that? Would people judge me? Would it look good on my face?
The answer? It’ll look HELLA good. So, if you find your looks getting repetitive or *yikes* boring, then a bold lip color might just be what you need. After all, it’s easy to play it safe, but it leaves a lot of room for fun and excitement. Switch it up! If you don’t normally wear such a bold lip color, just try it. It’ll be a little bit scary at first, but it’ll quickly start to feel normal. Soon enough, these unnatural shades will be feeling super natural on your face.
It might feel as if you’re announcing yourself to the world, and this can be scary, especially if you’re more introverted than extroverted. This is just a feeling, however. Believe it or not, people will be a little more accepting of your lip colors than you might think. At first, you’ll feel a tad vulnerable. People will be looking at your lips, but they’ll be looking in awe and envy. Despite what you may feel, don’t be shy! #ownit
There are a lot of options when it comes to lip colors. Start small – a bright pink or light red. Then, you can work your way up to a super dark red, or even a blue, green, or purple. Wear something light and sheer to start off – a gateway lip color – and soon enough you’ll be rocking all these colors you’d never even dream of wearing! Many people regularly rock a bold lip, and that’s because bold lip colors look fantastic, feel amazing, and let the world know who’s boss. #fab
If your response to the question, “What lip color do you normally wear?” is “Chapstick,” then you’re definitely not alone. So, get over your fears and test the lipstick waters. You just might feel good about yourself if you did!
