Boy Saved Brother’s Life After Watching Movie, Gets to Meet ‘The Rock’
Ten-year-old Jacob O’Connor is making headlines for saving his younger brother, Dylan, who was found floating face-down in his grandmother’s pool using a life saving technique he apparently learned from watching Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the movie San Andreas.
After learning about his story, Johnson personally invited and made arrangements for Jacob and his family to visit his movie set in Vancouver where he is currently filming Skyscraper. The Rock proudly shared his day with Jacob and his family by posting updates on his Instagram account.
In one post, Johnson wrote how touched he was that Jacob had on a personalized shirt that told a story about a part of his life.
“… He threw me for an unexpected spin when he showed up on set wearing a shirt that he proudly made with my bull insignia on the front and on the back was the picture of me holding our two puppies, Brutus and Hobbs, after I rescued them from our pool. Seeing that picture on this boy’s shirt, got me in the gut,” said the caption.
In another post, Jacob and Dylan can be seen with Johnson in front of a welcome buffet table of chocolates, candies, and other sweets, while their mother was in the background obviously tearing up.
“Surprise! (mama shedding a few happy tears for her boys) I told Jacob and his brother Gavin that when kids visit my movie sets, it’s like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory because children get to eat all the chocolate and sweets they want and the best part is…IT’S ALL FREE. Well someone has to pay for it, but it ain’t me or the kids lol,” posted The Rock.
The former wrestler said that meeting the 10-year-old was special and that Jacob is “awesome” and “the kind of person we all aspire to be.”
