Kanye West Met With Donald Trump at Trump Tower
Kanye West’s meeting with the President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday morning threw social media into chaos. The rapper was spotted arriving at Trump Tower with a large entourage, days after being discharged from hospital following his much-publicized meltdown. He wasn’t accompanied by wife Kim Kardashian.
West, who declared before his fans at one of his concerts that he would have voted for Donald Trump had he voted, arrived at Trump Tower in New York at around 9.00 am. Trump addressed journalists with Kanye West standing silently next to him. He described the 39-year-old rapper and fashion designer as a “good man” and told reporters that they’ve been friends for a very long time.
The pair then posed for photos soon after the meeting. No one knows what they talked about. When the two posed for photos, Trump remained silent and did not disclose the specifics of their conversation. When asked what they discussed, Trump replied: “Life.”
Soon after the meeting, West made his way to the elevator. He didn’t answer questions about his 2020 presidential bid or whether he was going to perform at Trump’s inauguration. Sources say the president-elect has been struggling to get any willing high-profile musicians to perform at his inauguration.
While West wouldn’t discuss the details of their meeting, he later tweeted about it, saying they talked about bullying, modernizing curriculums, supporting teachers, and violence in Chicago. A source close to the rapper, however, says West met with Trump to discuss becoming an ambassador, adding that Trump wants to get the outspoken rapper involved in entrepreneurial leadership role.
I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.

This was West’s second public appearance following his hospitalization in late November. According to sources, West was experiencing sleepless nights in the day leading up to his hospitalization in New York.
Most political analysts believe that West and Trump meeting makes perfect sense considering the premium that Trump places on loyalty. At the 2015 presidential rally, Trump described his feelings toward the rapper. Some say this is a sign that the rapper, who declared a 2020 presidential bid during the 2015 VMA’s, is open to working with the Trump administration.
West, who attended a Hillary Clinton fundraiser last year, is known for making controversial statements. The meeting between the outspoken rapper and the next president of the free world has attracted a lot of criticism in the hip-hop community. West also received a ton of criticism from some of his supporters. On Twitter, West said that he felt the relationship with Trump was important.
