Some fans, however, studied the photos and found a surprising detail that reveals more information about the upcoming film.

He Looks The Part

The new photos feature Phoenix dressed up in the classic Joker costume: a bright red suit, mustard-colored vest, and teal collared shirt. He also has slicked-back, swamp green hair and clown-inspired face makeup. He looks perfect, but that’s not all.

The photos show Phoenix walking through the Bedford Park Blvd., a New York City subway station. He’s smiling while a group of followers holds up signs that read “Clown 4 Mayor.”

But that’s not the most shocking part about these photos.

Who’s The Villain?

Fans immediately noticed something peculiar about these new set photos. Also in the photos are several men who are attacking Thomas Wayne (played by Brett Cullen), the father of Bruce Wayne, otherwise known as Batman, who, according to rumors, is running for mayor of Gotham City in Joker.

Movie Dash

So, is the Joker the villain in the upcoming film? Or, is it Thomas Wayne? According to rumors, Wayne is supposed to be the typical “cheesy and tanned businessman” in Joker.
