John Krasinski Proves He’s The Best Husband And Dad Ever

Anyone who has had to travel for work knows that one of the toughest parts is being away from your home and family. Now imagine those work trips lasting for months at a time— sometimes requiring you to be in another country as your family.

Krasinski Makes Sure Work Doesn’t Interfere With Real Life

This is a situation John Krasinski and his wife, Emily Blunt, are certainly no strangers to. Being A-list celebrities and working actors, it’s inevitable their work schedules occasionally interrupt time that would otherwise be spent together. However, Krasinski proved that distance is no match for him and his family.

“Family for me is a non-negotiable thing,” Krasinski revealed in an interview with People. “So, if I’m honest, I was shooting 6,000 miles away from them, and I flew back every single weekend.”

The situation he’s specifically referencing is most recently when Krasinski was filming Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in L.A. and Blunt was shooting Mary Poppins in London.

Krasinski’s Co-Star Confirms Actor’s Dedication To Family

“We always set up a base, and I always want the base to be with their mom. And I’ll do the flight time,” Krasinski explained.

We don’t just have to take his word for it either. His Jack Ryan co-star, Dina Shihabi, can attest to the adorable gesture; she said even if it was 5 a.m. on a Saturday and the crew just got done working, Krasinski would immediately be on a plane— even if and when it meant having to fly back no more than 36 hours later.

Gracious And Humble To Boot!

As if that isn’t sweet enough: Krasinski remains gracious and humble about his job and life, saying he would never complain about his situation.

“I think that there’s nothing you can complain about in this business, you know what I mean?” he said. “We are all so lucky to be doing what we’re doing. If there’s one thing that’s a bummer, it’s that you spend time away from your kids. But guess what, a lot of people spend time away from their kids. So for me, I think we’re all living in a fantasy camp. So I’m not going to be the first one to complain.”
