Jason Momoa is a man of many talents. Aside from acting, the Hawaiian has been a model, a host, a writer, and a director. With so many different skills under his belt, is it possible for him to shock us with something new? Well, at the Aquaman premiere, he did!

Dance The Night Away

At the Chinese Theatre, hundreds were present to get a glimpse of Momoa in action. Around 5 P.M., the star made a surprise appearance on the red carpet. He wasn’t there to talk to press or pose for the camera. He simply came to dance.

New York Daily News

Momoa engaged in a Haka dance with a slew of dancers. Among those dancing were co-star Temuera Morrison and Momoa’s daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf.The three minute performance got the crowd completely riled up for the night’s festivities.

For The Culture

When it came to the dance, Momoa felt like showcasing a part of his Hawaiian culture. “I’ve made my own haka for my family. My children were out there with me, we based the character around Polynesian culture. I thought it would be honouring a lot of people by doing it,” he told Newshub.

The Source

As expected, this wasn’t the first time Momoa unleashed this fiery dance. While filming Aquaman, he did one in honor of MMA fighter Mark Hunt before his fight against Derrick Lewis.

Break The Internet

Twitter went completely insane when footage of Momoa’s Haka dance landed online. “I feel like Jason Momoa is 150% intense all the time. Sheeeesh,” Twitter user Optykall said. A lot of praise went towards Momoa’s children. “Lola was KILLING the choreography. She had the steps better than the grown men in front of her!,” Twitter user lindoforbes said.

Warner Bros.

While there aren’t any Haka dances in Aquaman, you can expect some explosive action. The DC Comics film is in theaters right now.
