Janet Jackson Splits from Billionaire Husband
After five years of marriage, King of Pop’s sister Janet Jackson has closed the chapter of her life with Qatari tycoon husband, Wissam Al Mana.
The couple met each other in 2010 and got married in 2012. In April 2016, her Unbreakable World Tour got postponed as she announced to her fans of the couple’s plan to have a family. They have a baby boy Eissa Al Mana, who was born on January 3, 2017 – just a few months before their announcement to separate ways. Janet Jackson was already 50 years old when she gave birth to Eissa.
Janet Jackson’s husband, Wissam Al Mana is Quatari billionaire who is the director of Al Mana Group, a conglomerate that operates automotive services, real estate, retail, restaurants, construction, technology, and entertainment. The group owns over 50 companies and 300 branches offering luxury products including interiors and accessories to name a few. Jackson was his first wife while he was her third husband.
Sources said that Jackson and Al Mana decided to split because of their busy schedules; however, they are committed to being good parents to their son even when separated. Sources also spoke about Al Mana’s lack of concern for elder abuse claims pertaining to Janet Jackson’s mom, Katherine Jackson, being manipulated and physically abused by Trent Lamar Jackson. This apathy showed by Al Mana has led the singer to split from him.
“That’s when Janet made her decision that there was no turning back,” source said. “She was worried about her mother—and Wissam showed little to no concern.”
Janet Jackson’s first husband was James DeBarge, an R&B/Soul singer. Their marriage lasted for eight months. Rene Elizondo Jr, a Mexican artist and Jackson’s second, had a controversial divorce, following their secret marriage for nine years.
Jackson and Al Mana have not commented on the issues yet.
