Janet Jackson Reveals The Name of Her Newborn Baby
Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana are officially parents! The 50-year old singer gave birth on Tuesday, January 3 to her first child, a beautiful bouncing baby boy. According to her representative, Jackson had a stress free healthy delivery and is comfortably resting. Her representative also added that Both Jackson and Al Mana are thrilled to be parents.
And finally, after much anticipation, the name of the newborn baby has been revealed- and it’s pretty unique. The couple decided to call their little one Eissa Al Manna.
Eissa is a Hebrew name which is properly pronounced as EYS-AH. While those close to her family remain tight-lipped, one theory that is already floating around says that the unique name means Jesus. Before their child was born, her fans speculated about whether or not Janet Jackson and William Al Mana’s first baby’s name would pay some sort of tributes to Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson’s late brother. In fact, a certain report even claimed that they would be naming their child after both of the singer’s fallen siblings- that includes Brandon Jackson- Marlon’s twin who died at birth.
It was revealed that Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana were expecting their first child in May. Jackson broke the news during her Unbreakable World Tour in April, announcing that there will be some changes to her hectic schedule because she and her husband were planning their family. This gave a hint to her fans that she is going to have a baby. It was, however, falsely reported that Janet Jackson was postponing her tour because of a cancerous tumor and she is making up her fake pregnancy so as to hide her alleged illness.
The 50-year old singer managed to keep a low profile in the months after making the announcement. She first showed her baby bump in September while shopping at a baby furniture store in London, where a photo of her was taken wearing dark sweatpants, a black sweater, a scarf and a headband.
Last month, the five-time Grammy winner broke her silence on the social media to give her fans an update on her pregnancy. She wrote and said that it had been a while, but she is still listening; she feels her fans love and prayers. She confirmed that she is doing well and ended up with a phrase “Al Hamdu Lilah” which is an Arabic phrase meaning praise be to God.
The arrival of Jackson’s first child marks a great way to kick off 2017. Her World tour is due to continue later this year, but in the meantime, Janet Jackson will with no doubt be enjoying her private time as a new mother.
