Talent competition shows have proven to be ratings juggernauts recently. CBS, which is home to reality show titans Survivor and Big Brother, wants a piece of the action. With the right people by their side, they’ll have another hit on their hands.

Not So Late, Late

CBS revealed that James Corden will be the host and executive producer of their new show World’s Best. The show was recently announced earlier this year.

Corden has earned two Emmys for The Late Late Show with James Corden. The English host had hosting duties on the 2017 and 2018 installment of the Grammys.

A Trio Of Icons

A good competition show needs some great judges, and this one delivers big time. Actress Drew Barrymore has earned numerous awards for her work on Grey Gardens, Charlie’s Angels, and Ever After. In 2004, she gained a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. RuPaul is one of the biggest drag queen icons of all time. Their highly popular reality competition show RuPaul’s Drag Race earned them three Emmy Awards.

Filling the third and final judges’ chair is Faith Hill. The Mississippi native is one of the biggest selling country stars of all time with 40 million albums sold worldwide. Hill has earned five Grammys and three CMA Awards for her work. In 2019, she’ll join Barrymore and RuPaul on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Aside from the three judges, there will be 50 experts from the entertainment field that will offer their own criticism.

Who’s The Best?

World’s Best is created by reality show juggernauts Mark Burnett and Mike Darnell. The winner of the competition will walk away with a huge cash prize. Artists can submit their stuff on CBS’ website for a shot on the show.
