5 Horror Movie Villains Compared To The Actors Who Play Them

Published

on

Most horror movie villains are absolutely terrifying. Fear-provoking, ruthless monsters who will stop at nothing to claim their victims. But what about the man (or woman) beneath the murderous mask? Take a look behind the scenes of these five legendary villains and the real-life actors who play them.

Bill Skarsgard

You know him as the kid-catching clown in the 2017 rendition of Stephen King’s IT. While he plays one of the scariest villains of today, he’s actually a pretty nice guy! A member of the famous Skarsgard clan (you may recognize his brother Alexander as Eric from True Blood), he’s a Swedish sweetheart who actually scared himself with his own costume!

Bonnie Morgan

This red-headed wonder is responsible for the creepy scenes of Samara crawling out of the well in The Ring 2. While the character was mostly played by child actor Daveigh Chase, Morgan used her contortionist skills for the iconic foot-over-head “spider walk” that scared the masses. Her bendy body even won a full-time position as Samara in the 2017 sequel, Rings.

Sheri Moon Zombie

You’ve seen her in many iconic horror films, like House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and Lords of Salem. She plays many crazed characters, but really she’s just a devoted wife to husband Rob Zombie! The couple collaborates to make these disturbing movies, no doubt keeping the spark alive for the kooky twosome.

Fandango

Bonnie Aarons

Even though she plays the spine-tingling title character in the new movie Nun, she’s actually just a playful ball of fun. Taissa Farmiga, who also stars in the movie, recalls Aarons sneaking up in full costume to spook her in between takes. Bonnie herself claims she just “loves to entertain people and the demon nun has delivered quite a thrill.” We bet!

IMDB

Tim Curry

We covered the remake of IT at the beginning, but Tim Curry definitely deserves a mention, as well. Curry first brought this nightmarish clown to life in 1990, but he couldn’t be more different than his ghoulish character. I mean, he was the charismatic lead of Rocky Horror Picture Show and the lovable Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island!
