Daniel Craig is set to play James Bond for his final film in 2019 after playing the iconic English secret service agent since 2005. After Bond 25, Hollywood needs a new James Bond. There’s a long list of available options, but Henry Cavill says he’ll do the job.

Bond, James Bond

Hollywood has a long tradition of casting tall, athletic, and handsome actors to play the iconic James Bond. Fans first fell in love with Sean Connery’s portrayal and continued to love performances by David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. There’s no one quite like James Bond.

The End Of An Era

All good things must come to an end. Craig is filming his fifth and final film as James Bond, Bond 25. The stage is now set for someone new to step into his shoes. There are multiple possibilities to consider, but Henry Cavill says you don’t have to look any further. He’s the next James Bond!

Why He’s The Best Option

Cavill isn’t a stranger to filming big action franchise films, including playing Superman in 2013’s Man of Steel, and co-starring alongside Tom Cruise in the most recent Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Because of his experience, Cavill is confident he would be the best choice for the next James Bond.

“A Really Fun Role”

While Cavill was promoting Mission: Impossible – Fallout, reporters asked if he would be open to playing James Bond.

“I would love to do it, of course. I think Bond would be a really fun role. It’s British, it’s cool,” he said. “It would be fun for me to actually take what I’ve learned on [Mission: Impossible – Fallout] and carry it through to a movie like Bond.

What He Can Offer

Cavill isn’t afraid of taking chances, especially using what Tom Cruise taught him. He’s confident he could bring a new level of physicality to James Bond. If offered, he would jump at the opportunity to play this iconic role.

“I think now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge, we can do real stunts and really amp [James Bond] up, as well,” Cavill commented. “If they were to ask, I would say ‘yes.’”
